Dener TDC 2112 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Dener TDC 2112 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Dener or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Dener TDC 2112 is a double column machining center with travels of 2,100 mm (82.7 in) in X, 1,220 mm in Y and 600 mm in Z. It is the smallest of the three TDC models, and by its figures the liveliest.

Rapid traverse is 24/24/15 m/min. The TDC 3116 is listed at 12 m/min on every axis, so this one moves at twice that rate in X and Y. For plate work with many holes and pockets that is a real saving.

The bridge stands on columns 1,400 mm apart over a table of 2,000 x 1,200 mm, rated for 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). The spindle is a BBT 50 direct-drive unit at 10,000 rpm with a motor listed at 22/26 kW.

Z travel is the limit to keep in view. 600 mm, minus tool length and fixture height, defines the tallest part. The model suits plates, frames and flat weldments more than tall housings.

Accuracy is stated per 300 mm of stroke: ±0.008 mm positioning and ±0.004 mm repeatability. The tool magazine holds 24 tools. Standard control is a Mitsubishi M80A-8A with Navi-Mill; a FANUC control is optional.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 24 m/min rapid traverse in X and Y
  • BBT 50 direct-drive spindle, 10,000 rpm, 22/26 kW
  • 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) table load
  • ±0.008 mm positioning per 300 mm of stroke

Limitations

  • Z travel of 600 mm limits part height
  • 24 tools, where the larger TDC models have 40
  • 1,400 mm between columns limits part width
  • No spindle torque figure in the table

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What are the travels of the Dener TDC 2112?

2,100 mm in X, 1,220 mm in Y and 600 mm in Z. The distance between columns is 1,400 mm and the table is 2,000 x 1,200 mm.

02 How much weight can the table take?

4,000 kg (8,818 lb). The TDC 3116 above it is rated for 10,000 kg, so the step between the two models is large.

03 What spindle does it have?

A BBT 50 direct-drive spindle at 10,000 rpm. Spindle motor power is listed as 22/26 kW, and the axis motors as 9/4.5/4.5 kW.

04 How accurate is the TDC 2112?

Dener lists positioning accuracy of ±0.008 mm and repeatability of ±0.004 mm, each per 300 mm stroke. A linear encoder system is optional.
