Overview
The Dener FTL 12064 is the largest tube fiber laser Dener lists. Its chuck is 640 mm (25.2 in), nearly twice the next size down, and a single bar may weigh 2,600 kg (5,732 lb) at a cutting length of up to 12,300 mm.
This is heavy structural territory: large-diameter pipe, big box sections, and the hollow sections used in cranes, bridges and offshore frames. Dener says the model is designed specifically for metal tube processing and names bevel cutting as an option for cuts at different angles, which is how weld preparations are produced on such parts.
Every axis is scaled up. X travel is 1,300 mm, Z travel 540 mm and Y travel 13,400 mm. The machine occupies 30,500 × 3,900 × 3,400 mm.
Speed is not the aim. The chucks rotate at 25 r/min and the tube feeds at 50 m/min, with 0.6 G of acceleration. Turning 2,600 kg quickly would need drives out of proportion to the gain, since cutting time in thick wall dominates the cycle.
Laser power is 6-20 kW, and the 20 kW source uses the BOCI BLT560H head. As on the other FTL machines, three moving chucks give a minimum tail of ≥0 mm and the unloading length is 12 m.
