Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Muratec LS3015MC that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Muratec LS3015MC puts an 8 kW fiber laser and a machining spindle on one sheet-metal machine, so a part can be laser cut, tapped and counterbored without leaving the table. It takes sheets up to 3050 x 1525 mm (5 ft x 10 ft). The laser side handles material up to 25 mm (1 in) thick and the machining side up to 16 mm (5/8 in).
The machining head is a proper tool spindle with an HSK-A50 taper, a 4,500 rpm maximum and a 20-tool ATC. Muratec lists tapping up to M16 and counterboring up to Φ20. Those limits show what the spindle is there for: finishing holes and threads in laser-cut blanks, not milling pockets or profiles. 4,500 rpm suits taps and counterbores of that size and is slow for small-diameter cutters.
The two thickness limits do not match, and that is the point to check against your part mix. Plate between 16 mm and 25 mm can be laser cut on this machine but falls outside the listed machining range, so threads or counterbores in thicker plate still need a second operation elsewhere. For work at or under 16 mm (5/8 in), the 20 tools in the changer allow several thread sizes and counterbore diameters on one sheet without a manual tool change.
Floor space is 3369 x 10,536 mm (11 ft 1 in x 34 ft 7 in). The long side is more than three times the 3050 mm sheet length, so the machine wants a long, narrow bay. The spec table here has no rows for machine weight, power demand or axis speeds; get those from Muratec before planning the installation.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 8 kW fiber laser and a machining spindle on one machine, so laser-cut parts are tapped and counterbored in the same setup
- Takes sheets up to 3050 x 1525 mm (5 ft x 10 ft)
- Laser cutting capacity of 25 mm (1 in) sheet thickness
- HSK-A50 spindle with a 20-tool ATC and 4,500 rpm
- Tapping up to M16 and counterboring up to Φ20
Limitations
- Machining is limited to 16 mm (5/8 in) sheet while the laser cuts up to 25 mm (1 in), so thicker plate cannot be tapped or counterbored on the machine
- The spindle stops at 4,500 rpm, which restricts small-diameter tools
- Needs 3369 x 10,536 mm (11 ft 1 in x 34 ft 7 in) of floor space
- Thread size ends at M16 and counterbore diameter at Φ20

Frequently Asked Questions
01
It adds a machining spindle to the 8 kW fiber laser. The spindle has an HSK-A50 taper, runs to 4,500 rpm and draws from a 20-tool ATC. Muratec lists tapping up to M16 and counterboring up to Φ20, so threaded and counterbored holes are finished on the same machine that cuts the profile.
02
The maximum sheet size is 3050 x 1525 mm (5 ft x 10 ft). Maximum sheet thickness is 25 mm (1 in) for laser cutting and 16 mm (5/8 in) for machining. A sheet thicker than 16 mm can therefore be cut but not tapped or counterbored on this machine.
03
The listed machining capacities are tapping up to M16 and counterboring up to Φ20, with a 4,500 rpm HSK-A50 spindle and a 20-tool ATC. No milling capacity is listed in the table, so treat the spindle as a hole-finishing unit unless Muratec confirms otherwise for your application.
04
Muratec lists 3369 x 10,536 mm (11 ft 1 in x 34 ft 7 in). That is a long, narrow footprint for a machine that takes 3050 x 1525 mm (5 ft x 10 ft) sheets, so check the bay length as well as the area.
