Overview

The Citizen Miyano LZ-01RY is the Y-axis version of the LZ-01: a three-axis (X, Z, Y) fixed-headstock lathe with ±35 mm of Y stroke, built for small chucked parts up to 70 mm in diameter and 80 mm long. It is not in Citizen's current lineup under that name, and its table is the LZ-01R2 column of the LZ-01R series page.

Y is the reason to pick this model over the two-axis Miyano LZ-01, which is listed with X and Z only. With up to 6 revolving tools on the 12-station turret, the Y stroke lets a milling cutter or drill work off the spindle centreline: flats and slots that are not on a diameter, bolt-hole patterns away from the axis, and cross holes that do not pass through the centre. At ±35 mm either side of centre, the stroke spans the whole face of a 70 mm part.

The rest of the specification matches the LZ-01 table. The spindle runs 60 - 6,000 rpm on 7.5/5.5 kW and carries a 6-inch hydraulic power chuck, or a collet chuck for work up to 50 mm.
