Overview
The Citizen Miyano GN-3200 is a small single-spindle chucking lathe with a horizontal linear turret, built for short precision parts: collet work up to 35 mm dia., a maximum machining length of 50 mm and a spindle running 80 - 8,000 rpm. The linear (gang-style) turret is the key to how it works. Tools sit side by side on the slide instead of on an indexing disc, so moving from one tool to the next is a short X move rather than an index, which keeps non-cutting time low on parts with many quick operations.
