The Brother SPEEDIO R650X1N is a narrow-body variant of the R650X1 pallet-change vertical machining center, delivering the same 650 mm X-travel and integrated QT 2-pallet changer in an optimized-width enclosure for tight production line installations. The N (Narrow) designation indicates a reduced machine width that enables tighter machine-to-machine spacing in automotive and electronics production lines where bay widths are predetermined.

The R650X1N provides 650 x 400 x 305 mm (25.6 x 15.7 x 12.0 in) X/Y/Z travels — identical to the standard R650X1 — with a 10,000 RPM standard spindle on BT30 taper and optional 16,000 RPM high-speed configuration. Rapid traverse rates of 50 m/min on all axes and sub-second chip-to-chip tool changes maintain the full Speedio speed advantage. The integrated QT pallet changer enables loading on one pallet while machining on the other for near-continuous production.

The narrow-body design repositions internal components — hydraulics, chip conveyor, electrical cabinet — to reduce the overall machine width without compromising travel or rigidity.
