Price estimate
We do not have a price for the BLM Group LT5.10 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The BLM Group LT5.10 is the smallest machine in the Lasertube family: a fiber tube laser with a 2D cutting head for round, square and rectangular tube from 0.5" to 5" in diameter and up to 9 lb/ft. The source is 1 kW or 2 kW, picked by the maximum thickness you plan to cut.
A 2D head cuts square to the tube surface. That covers holes, slots, straight cut-offs and copes, but not bevelled weld preparations. In this range those start with the LT6, which carries a 3D head and a 3 kW source. So the first thing to settle is whether your parts need tilted cuts. If they don't, the LT5.10 does the loading, cutting and sorting with a smaller source.
Material arrives in bundles of up to 8,818 lb (4,000 kg) and is loaded fully automatically. The minimum loading length is 10.5 ft (3.2 m). BLM's base configuration is 21 ft (6.5 m) loading and 11 ft (3.5 m) unloading, and the unloading side is also listed at 15 ft (4.5 m) and 21 ft (6.5 m). Finished parts leave through three programmable positions, a rear conveyor belt and motorized collection tables front and rear, so different part numbers stay apart without anyone sorting them.
For the electrical supply, BLM states an average drawn power of 10 kW when cutting with O2 and 17 kW with N2, both on the 1 kW source. A single bar can be loaded through the double opening with sliding doors. A short urgent job doesn't have to wait for the bundle to run out.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Fully automatic bundle loading with a bundle capacity of 8,818 lb (4,000 kg)
- Three programmable unloading positions, a rear conveyor belt and motorized front and rear collection tables keep batches apart
- Unloading length of 11 ft (3.5 m), 15 ft (4.5 m) or 21 ft (6.5 m), to match the longest finished part
- TubeCutter head with automatic focus and integrated laser parameter management, so BLM says no adjustments are needed
- Average drawn power is published: 10 kW with O2 and 17 kW with N2 on the 1 kW source
Limitations
- The 2D cutting head cannot tilt, so bevels and chamfered weld preparations are out of reach
- Tube diameter stops at 5" and bar weight at 9 lb/ft; the LTX takes 10 lb/ft
- The laser source goes no higher than 2 kW, which caps wall thickness and cutting speed
- Minimum loading length is 10.5 ft (3.2 m), so short remnants cannot go through the bundle loader

Frequently Asked Questions
01
BLM gives a tube range from 0.5" to 5" in diameter and a maximum bar weight of 9 lb/ft, for round, square and rectangular tubes. The listed materials are mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
02
A fiber source of 1 kW or 2 kW. BLM's advice is to choose by the maximum thickness you plan to cut. The cutting head is the BLM GROUP 2D Tube Cutter, which has automatic focus.
03
The base configuration is 21 ft (6.5 m) loading and 11 ft (3.5 m) unloading. Unloading lengths of 15 ft (4.5 m) and 21 ft (6.5 m) are listed as well. Bars must be at least 10.5 ft (3.2 m) long for the loader, which takes bundles up to 8,818 lb (4,000 kg).
04
No. Its 2D head cuts perpendicular to the tube. For tilted cuts and weld chamfers, the LT6 is the nearest BLM model with a 3D head; it uses a 3 kW fiber source and takes bar up to 12 lb/ft.
05
With the 1 kW source, BLM states an average drawn power of 10 kW when cutting with O2 and 17 kW when cutting with N2. The table gives no figure for the 2 kW source, so ask for it if that is the version you want.
