Overview
The AWEA LP-3021 opens the wider LP-21 group. It has 2,300 mm (90.6 in) between the columns, 2,100 mm (82.7 in) of Y travel and a 3,020 x 2,010 mm (118.9 x 79.1 in) table on 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X travel.
Set beside the LP-3016, which has the same X stroke and the same 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) table rating, the wider frame changes more than one row. Weight rises to 33,000 kg (72,751 lb) from the 28,500 kg (62,831 lb) of the LP-3016. Y rapid is 15,000 mm/min (591 ipm) where the LP-3016 runs 20,000 mm/min (787 ipm). Maximum tool length is 350 mm (13.8 in), and the LP-3016 accepts 400 mm (15.7 in). The coolant tank grows to 650 liter and the hydraulic pump to 10 HP.
The bigger difference is the option list. Y can be ordered at 2,500 mm. Z can be 1,000, 1,200 or 1,400 mm in place of the standard 760 mm (29.9 in). The magazine can hold 60, 90 or 120 tools instead of 32. None of this appears in the table of the 1,600 mm machines.
Spindles are optional too. Standard is 6,000 rpm on a 22 / 26 kW (30 / 35 HP) motor with a BT50 taper. Gear spindles of 4,000 or 5,000 rpm, built-in spindles of 6,000 or 8,000 rpm and direct drive spindles of 8,000 or 10,000 rpm are listed as options.
Among the LP-21 models this is the only one with a 20,000 mm/min X rapid, and it has the tightest VDI figure of the four, P ≤ 0.025 mm over full travel.

The LP-3025 has 2,500 mm (98.4 in) of Y as standard, 2,700 mm (106.3 in) between the columns, a 3,020 x 2,400 mm (118.9 x 94.5 in) table and a 12,000 kg (26,455 lb) load, and weighs 36,000 kg (79,365 lb). X travel, X rapid and the VDI positioning figure match the LP-3021.

According to AWEA, X and Y run on roller type linear guide ways and Z on a hardened and precisely ground box way. Roller type linear guide ways can be fitted on Z when the machine is equipped with a high speed direct drive spindle. The base under the table is one piece with 4 guide ways.
