Overview
The Accuway UA-150H is a twin-spindle, twin-turret turning machine for small chucked parts made in quantity. Two A2-6 spindles with 6 in chucks face each other, each served by a 12-station turret, and the table counts the tools as 12+12.
With a turret per spindle, both sides of a part are machined at the same time. The first spindle cuts operation one while the second, having taken the previous part, cuts operation two. Output per cycle is therefore one finished part, with neither spindle waiting for the other. The second spindle travels 900 mm (35.4 in) on its B axis at 20 m/min (787 in/min) to make the transfer.
The two spindles are the same size but not the same power. Both run to 4,500 rpm and pass a 52 mm (2.0 in) bar; spindle 1 has 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp) and spindle 2 has 7.5/11 kW (10.1/14.8 hp). Turning diameter is 250 mm (9.8 in) at SP1 and SP2 and turning length 240 mm (9.4 in). The X1/X2 travel is 220 mm (8.7 in) and the Z1/Z2 travel 350 mm (13.8 in).
The tooling row reads BMT-55N Servo, and the table gives no rotary tool speed or power, so this page treats the UA-150H as a turning machine; ask Accuway whether driven tools are offered.
