Overview
Every drive and travel row is larger on the You Ji VHL2000ATC than on the two smaller side-head machines. This vertical turning center has a Ø2,000 mm (78.7 in) table, a 60/75 kW (80.5/100.6 hp) table motor and an 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp) live spindle motor on the side head.
The envelope is Ø2,300 mm (90.6 in) of turning diameter under a Ø2,500 mm (98.4 in) swing, with 1,600 mm (63.0 in) of turning height. To use that height the crossrail travels 1,150 mm (45.3 in) vertically and the main ram has 950 mm (37.4 in) of Z1. X1 travel is -600, +1,350 mm (-23.6, +53.1 in).
On the side head, Z2 grows to 950 mm (37.4 in) while X2 remains 1,720 mm (67.7 in). The stronger live spindle, marked α12i against the α8i of the smaller models, makes outside-diameter milling and drilling more than an occasional operation.
That combination suits tall cylindrical parts with features on the wall: large valve bodies, gearbox casings, winch drums and wind-turbine hubs. The main ram turns and bores from the top while the side head handles the outside, and the part is clamped once.
It is a long machine at 14,500 x 6,500 mm (570.9 x 255.9 in), and 6,500 mm (255.9 in) high. ATC, ATC+C with C-axis function and two raised-column heights are in the model key. The VHL table states no loading weight or table speed.
