You Ji HMC630 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the You Ji HMC630 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from You Ji or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

A 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in) table that carries 1,000 kg (2,205 lb): the You Ji HMC630 is the standard-pallet size in You Ji's HMC series of horizontal machining centers. It doubles the load of the HMC500 while keeping that machine's spindle.

The spindle is BT-50, 8,000 rpm, with a 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp) motor. On a 630 pallet this is a balanced pairing for cast iron and steel housings, with enough speed left for aluminium.

X-axis travel is 1,050 mm (41.3 in) and Z-axis travel 1,000 mm (39.4 in). Y-axis travel, though, is 750 mm (29.5 in), no more than on the HMC500. So the envelope is wide and deep but not tall. A tombstone much higher than the Y stroke cannot be reached at its top row. Parts that are tall on the pallet point to the HMC800, which has 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Y.

The long Z is useful in another way. With the B-axis rotary table, a part can be bored from one side, indexed, and bored from the other with the spindle backed far enough off to swing the fixture corners past the tool. Model codes are B for the rotary table and BP for rotary table plus automatic pallet changer. Height is 3,100 mm (122.0 in), and the floor space is 4,500 x 3,970 mm (177.2 x 156.3 in).

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) on a 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in) table
  • 1,050 mm (41.3 in) X and 1,000 mm (39.4 in) Z travel
  • BT-50 spindle at 8,000 rpm
  • B-axis rotary table, with automatic pallet changer on the BP build
  • 3,100 mm (122.0 in) machine height, the same as the smaller HMC500

Limitations

  • Y-axis travel is only 750 mm (29.5 in)
  • Spindle motor of 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp); the HMC800 moves up to 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp)
  • No W-axis quill; that starts with the HMC1000
  • Magazine size and axis feed rates are not published

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How much can the HMC630 table carry?

Maximum table load is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). The table measures 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in). The HMC500 carries 500 kg (1,102 lb) and the HMC800 carries 1,500 kg (3,307 lb).

02 What are the axis travels of the HMC630?

X-axis travel is 1,050 mm (41.3 in), Y-axis travel 750 mm (29.5 in) and Z-axis travel 1,000 mm (39.4 in). The catalogue marks the W-axis as not applicable for this size.

03 Which spindle is fitted?

BT-50 taper, 8,000 rpm, 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp). These three figures are identical to the HMC500. A larger motor of 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) comes with the HMC800, at 6,000 rpm.

04 What do the B and BP codes mean?

B is a B-axis rotary table. BP is a B-axis rotary table plus an automatic pallet changer. Both are listed for the HMC series; the specification table is common to them.
