Price estimate
We do not have a price for the WardJet Z-3064 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The WARDJet Z-3064 is the largest Z-Series waterjet WARDJet has manufactured, with a one-carriage cutting area of 10.1' x 20.1' (3.07 m x 6.12 m). WARDJet rounds the envelope to 21 feet by 10 feet, and with two carriages the table lists 10.1' x 21' (3.07 m x 6.4 m).
Stretching a gantry this far changes its construction, and the Z-3064 page is specific about how. Each side beam uses 4040 ballscrews. The crossbeam is driven by a helical rack and split pinion instead of a screw, and it is built from steel tubing of double the height used on standard Z-Series machines to keep it rigid. The drive row in the table says the same in short form: ball screw driven in X, helical rack and split pinion in Y.
The result is that the long machine keeps the short machines' figures. Positional accuracy is ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) and repeatability ± 0.001" per axis (± 0.03 mm per axis), the values listed for the Z-3043, which is ball screw driven throughout.
Seven Z-carriages can be mounted. The footprint is 13' x 26.4' (3.95 m x 8.03 m). Speed is 0.01 in/min - 500 in/min based on 230 volts, the bulk feed hopper is 1100 lb pressurized, and the software choices are Ikuhlu, WARDCAM and IGEMS. For longer work WARDJet's R-3014 offers 30' x 13.1' (9.14 m x 4 m) at a looser ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 10.1' x 20.1' (3.07 m x 6.12 m) cutting area, the largest in the Z-Series
- 4040 ballscrews on each side beam and a helical rack and split pinion on the crossbeam
- Crossbeam built with double the height of steel tubing of standard Z-Series machines
- Holds ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) accuracy at this size
- Up to 7 Z-carriages on the gantry
Limitations
- Footprint of 13' x 26.4' (3.95 m x 8.03 m)
- Speed limited to 500 in/min
- Mixed drive: one axis is rack and pinion, unlike the all-ball-screw Z-3043
- No Z-axis travel in the table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
10.1' x 20.1' (3.07 m x 6.12 m) with one carriage and 10.1' x 21' (3.07 m x 6.4 m) with two. WARDJet describes it as a cutting envelope of 21 feet by 10 feet. The footprint is 13' x 26.4' (3.95 m x 8.03 m).
02
WARDJet states that Z-3064 waterjets use 4040 ballscrews on each side beam and a helical rack and split pinion on the crossbeam, and that the crossbeam was designed with double the height of steel tubing of standard Z-Series waterjets.
03
Not according to the table. Linear positional accuracy is ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) and repeatability is ± 0.001" per axis (± 0.03 mm per axis), the same figures the Z-3043 lists.
04
The maximum number of Z-carriages is 7. Abrasive for them comes from an 1100 lb pressurized bulk feed hopper, and the gantry is supplied with 230V, 30 amps, 3 Phase.
