Price estimate
We do not have a price for the WardJet R-2014 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The WARDJet R-2014 is a large-format abrasive waterjet with a one-carriage cutting area of 20' x 13.1' (6.1 m x 4 m). WARDJet calls it a workhorse for loading and cutting multiple large sheets at the same time, and the table backs that with positions for up to 6 Z-carriages.
It is the shortest of three R-Series lengths. The 13.1' width is common to all of them, and the R-3014 and R-4014 differ in how far the gantry runs. With two carriages working, this machine's cutting area is listed as 20' x 14.1' (6.1 m x 4.31 m).
The drive is split by axis. The Y-axis beam is ball screw driven, and the long X-axis runs on a helical rack and split pinion, the usual choice once travel is too long for a screw. Accuracy is ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) and repeatability ± 0.005" per axis (± 0.13 mm per axis). Those are wider figures than the Z-3064, which lists ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) on a 10.1' x 20.1' (3.07 m x 6.12 m) cutting area, so parts with tight positional tolerances over the full length deserve a conversation with WARDJet before ordering.
Footprint is 29.6' x 20.8' (9.02 m x 6.32 m). The speed range is 0.01 in/min - 500 in/min based on 230 volts, abrasive is stored in an 1100 lb pressurized hopper, and the gantry needs 230V, 30 amps, 3 Phase.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 20' x 13.1' (6.1 m x 4 m) cutting area for several large sheets at once
- Up to 6 Z-carriages on one gantry
- Ball screw driven Y-axis beam with a helical rack and split pinion on the long axis
- 1100 lb pressurized bulk feed hopper
Limitations
- ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) accuracy is wider than the Z-3064's ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis)
- Occupies 29.6' x 20.8' (9.02 m x 6.32 m)
- Top speed of 500 in/min on a 20' axis means long repositioning moves
- The table has no Z-axis travel row

Frequently Asked Questions
01
20' x 13.1' (6.1 m x 4 m) with one carriage and 20' x 14.1' (6.1 m x 4.31 m) with two carriages. The machine's footprint is 29.6' x 20.8' (9.02 m x 6.32 m).
02
Linear positional accuracy is ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) and repeatability is ± 0.005" per axis (± 0.13 mm per axis). The Y-axis beam is ball screw driven and the X-axis is driven by a helical rack and split pinion.
03
By length. One-carriage cutting areas are 20' x 13.1' (6.1 m x 4 m) for the R-2014, 30' x 13.1' (9.14 m x 4 m) for the R-3014 and 40' x 13.1' (12.19 m x 4 m) for the R-4014. Head count, drive, accuracy and speed are listed the same.
04
Up to 6 Z-carriages. WARDJet describes the R-2014 as a machine that allows multiple, large sheets of material to be loaded and cut at the same time, which is the use those head positions serve.
