Price estimate
We do not have a price for the WardJet L-3025 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The WARDJet L-3025 is the fastest water-only machine WARDJet lists: a linear-drive gantry with a 3.05 m x 2.53 m cutting area and a speed range of 0.01 in/min - 7000 in/min (0.25 mm/min - 178 m/min). WARDJet says outright that it has the highest cutting speed of any of its water-only waterjets.
What separates it from the L-3018 is the frame and the envelope. The L-3018's cutting area is 120" x 72" (3.05 m x 1.83 m), so the L-3025 keeps the 3.05 m dimension and extends the other. WARDJet describes the frame as extremely robust and able to carry heavy options: 5-Axis cutting heads, cameras and height sensors. At linear-motor accelerations, mass hung on the beam is what limits a machine, so that statement is worth testing against the heads you intend to fit.
The table allows 4 Z-carriages. Accuracy is ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) and repeatability ± 0.001" per axis (± 0.03 mm per axis), with 12" (0.30 m) of Z-axis travel.
Around the gantry sits the material handling. The L-Series has a full chain feed, and for this model WARDJet lists programmable chain conveyors, pinch feed rollers and squaring guides. Footprint is 37' 1" x 15' (11.32 m x 4.57 m). The gantry needs 460V 30 amps, Three Phase and 80 psi, 2 cfm (5.52 bar, 0.06 cmm) of air, and the software is IKUHLU with WARDCAM.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 7000 in/min (178 m/min) top speed from a linear drive
- 3.05 m x 2.53 m cutting area, wider than the L-3018's 120" x 72" (3.05 m x 1.83 m)
- Frame built to take 5-Axis cutting heads, cameras and height sensors
- ± 0.001" per axis (± 0.03 mm per axis) repeatability
- Programmable chain conveyors, pinch feed rollers and squaring guides available for material handling
Limitations
- Requires 460V 30 amps, Three Phase at the gantry
- 37' 1" x 15' (11.32 m x 4.57 m) of floor space
- Cannot cut with abrasive: the table has no bulk feed hopper
- Material handling items beyond the chain feed are options

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The cutting area and footprint. The L-3025 lists 3.05 m x 2.53 m and 37' 1" x 15' (11.32 m x 4.57 m). The L-3018 lists 120" x 72" (3.05 m x 1.83 m) and 37' 7" x 12' 3" (11.48 m x 3.76 m). Both have the 7000 in/min linear drive.
02
Linear positional accuracy is ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis) and repeatability is ± 0.001" per axis (± 0.03 mm per axis). WARDJet states that the drive uses THK rails and a linear drive system for high speed and durability.
03
Yes, as an option. WARDJet says the frame allows the addition of many heavy duty options, such as 5-Axis cutting heads, cameras and height sensors. The table lists a maximum of 4 Z-carriages.
04
The gantry is listed at 460V 30 amps, Three Phase, with air at 80 psi, 2 cfm (5.52 bar, 0.06 cmm). The figure is marked gantry only, so the pump supply is a separate line in the site plan.
