EUROMAC MTX Flex 6/1250

The EUROMAC MTX Flex 6/1250 is a turret punch press with a 300 kN (33.7 tons) punching force, a 30-station turret and a sheet capacity of 2,500 x 1,250 mm (98.4 x 49.2 in). Its throat depth is 1,250 mm (49.2 in), equal to the sheet width, so a full-width sheet is reached without turning it.

EUROMAC's table gives the working area as axis versions rather than a single figure, and several of its rows carry no unit. X is listed as 1300 / 2250 / 2500 and Y as 1300 / 1250. Floor space follows the X version: the footprint rows read 2240 x 3630 for X 1300, 3980 x 3630 for X 2250 and 4840 x 3630 for X 2500. When comparing quotations, establish which X version is being offered, because the first dimension of the longest version is more than double that of the shortest while the second stays at 3630. Automatic repositioning in X is listed up to 10000, which is how sheets longer than the X stroke are worked.

Sheet handling is quick for the weight. Repositioning speed is 80 m/min with the X and Y axes combined, on a machine of 8,500 kg (18,740 lb). The clamp rows list 2 automatic positioning clamps with an opening of 11, and the thickness range is 0.6 - 6. A row for maximum weight at reduced axis speed reads 150*, a reminder that heavy sheets are moved at lower axis speeds; the footnote behind the asterisk is not reproduced in the table.

Programming is on the EUROMAC X-Touch CNC with DXF import, so flat patterns can be brought in from CAD drawings, and the table counts 6 under USB port. For hit rates, the table gives 375 for punching with a 20-millimetre pitch and 2000 for marking.
