Overview
The TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 is a laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) system designed for industrial series production of metal parts. With a 300 mm diameter build cylinder and optional multi-laser configuration, it achieves high productivity for aerospace, medical, and tooling applications.
Built around TRUMPF laser technology, the TruPrint 3000 features an integrated preheating chamber up to 500°C for processing reactive alloys and high-temperature materials including nickel superalloys and titanium. Its monitoring suite includes Melt Pool Monitoring (MPM) and Layer Control System (LCS) for in-process quality assurance.
The machine incorporates a full powder module concept that separates build, setup, and unpacking operations, enabling continuous production and minimizing downtime between builds. Sieving and refilling powder can occur in parallel with an active build job.
With a 300 × 400 mm build cylinder and single 500 W or optional dual-laser configuration, the TruPrint 3000 is well-positioned between compact research systems and large-format production platforms, making it the core workhorse for many additive manufacturing production cells.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The system handles stainless steel (316L, 17-4 PH), titanium (Ti6Al4V), nickel superalloys (IN625, IN718), aluminum alloys, and tool steels. The 500°C preheating capability expands the processable material range.
02
The dual-laser TruPrint 3000 uses two 500 W TruFiber lasers scanning the full build area simultaneously, nearly doubling throughput to ~35 cm³/hour vs ~18 cm³/hour for the single-laser variant.
03
The TruPrint 3000 uses interchangeable powder modules that can be loaded, unloaded, and sieved outside the machine, allowing the machine to begin a new build while the previous powder module is being processed.
