Overview
The TOS Kuřim FUT 200 gives the FUT horizontal machining centre a longer column stroke: Z is 2,000 mm (78.7 in). Like the FUT 150 it has no W axis. The column moves transversely, the headstock moves vertically, and the rotary table carries the part along X.
What does the extra Z buy? Room around the table. With the largest table, 2,000 x 2,400 mm, a part can overhang or stand well off-centre, and the column still has to back away far enough for the table to index and come in far enough to cut the near face. A two-metre stroke gives both. It also leaves space for longer heads from the maker's exchangeable range.
