Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Tajmac-ZPS MANURHIN K'MX 413 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The MANURHIN K'MX 413 is the smallest sliding-headstock lathe in the K'MX range: a Ø 13 mm (0.5 in) bar machine with a 130 mm (5.1 in) headstock stroke and 12,000 rpm on both the main and the counter spindle. Tajmac-ZPS lists four linear axes (X1, Y1, Z1, Z2) and two rotary axes (C1, C2), and sells it as a complete package: counter spindle, live tools and bar feeder are standard equipment.
Bar size needs a careful read. The table gives the capacity as Ø 13 (16) mm. Bars above 13 mm go through only after the bar end has been modified, because the standard spindle bore is 18 mm. The maker offers a 19 mm bore as an option so that 16 mm bars run without that preparation. If most of your work is stock larger than 13 mm, order the larger bore.
Tooling is a single gang arrangement. There are up to 8 external turning stations for 12 x 12 mm shanks, up to 3 internal stations bored Ø 16 mm, and 3 powered tools in ER 11 collets. Driven speed is 8,000 rpm on two of those stations and 2,600 rpm on the third, so plan which cross hole or flat goes where. The main electrospindle is rated 3.7 / 5.5 kW (100% / 30 min).
Part length is the limit that decides most jobs here. One feed of the headstock turns 130 mm, the counter spindle takes a part up to 95 mm inside it, and frontal ejection handles 130 mm. The machine itself is compact at 2,350 x 1,050 x 1,784 mm and 2,000 kg, with a 120 l coolant tank and a 26 kVA connection. Control is FANUC.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Counter spindle, live tools and bar feeder are part of the standard machine, not options
- 12,000 rpm on both the main and the counter spindle suits small-diameter bar
- C-axis on both spindles with 3 powered tools, running to 8,000 rpm on two stations
- Small footprint: 2,350 x 1,050 x 1,784 mm (92.5 x 41.3 x 70.2 in) and 2,000 kg (4,409 lb)
- Rapid traverse of 25 m/min on the headstock, the X1 and Y1 slides and the counter spindle
Limitations
- Bars over 13 mm need a modified bar end unless the optional 19 mm spindle bore is ordered
- Headstock stroke is 130 mm (5.1 in), the shortest among the K'MX machines Tajmac-ZPS lists
- One of the three powered stations is limited to 2,600 rpm
- The counter spindle accepts only 95 mm (3.7 in) of part length inside it; evacuation through the counter spindle is optional

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The maker's table gives Ø 13 (16) mm with a maximum bar capacity of Ø 16 mm. The standard spindle bore is 18 mm, so bars larger than 13 mm need the bar end modified for the feeder. As an option the bore can be 19 mm, which lets 16 mm bars run without modification.
02
Yes. Tajmac-ZPS states that standard equipment includes the counter spindle, live tools and the bar feeder. The counter spindle runs to 12,000 rpm, has a 150 mm (5.9 in) stroke and holds a part up to 95 mm (3.7 in) long inside the spindle. Evacuating parts through the counter spindle is listed as optional.
03
The table lists up to 8 external tool stations for 12 x 12 mm shanks, up to 3 internal stations with a Ø 16 mm bore, and 3 powered tools using ER 11 collets. The maker's description speaks of up to 12 fixed tools and says the internal tool block allows simultaneous axial operations on both spindles.
04
Two of the powered stations reach 8,000 rpm and one reaches 2,600 rpm. With C-axis on both spindles that is enough for cross drilling, small flats and slots, but the slower station should be reserved for the operation that needs the least speed.
05
The electrical supply is 3 x 400 V – 50 Hz with a power input of 26 kVA. Compressed air is required at 6 bar. The coolant tank holds 120 l and the pump delivers 63 l/min at 3 bar. The machine weighs 2,000 kg (4,409 lb).
