How much does the SCM Morbidelli M100/200 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the SCM Morbidelli M100/200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The SCM Morbidelli M100/200 page covers two bar-table machining centers that share one frame and one set of units. What separates the columns is height and tooling: the m100 has a Z axis panel passage of 180 mm (7.1 in) and up to 44 places on the tool changer, the m200 has 250 mm (9.8 in) and up to 60 places.
Width is the other difference. The m100 can be ordered with a narrow 1320 mm Y, in working areas of 3110x1320 mm, 3710x1320 mm and 5510x1320 mm, as well as the three 1620 mm sizes. The m200 is listed only as 3110x1620 mm, 3710x1620 mm and 5510x1620 mm. A shop that machines panels and nothing thicker can take the smaller machine; window and door parts, which SCM names among the applications, are the argument for the extra passage.
Everything else in the table is identical. The routing unit is rated at up to 15 kW (20.5 hp) and 24000 rpm, and SCM describes the head as a 5-axis direct-driven spindle head. The drilling unit has up to 21 independent vertical and 12 independent horizontal spindles at 8000 rpm, with an integrated blade in X of 125 mm (4.9 in). An auxiliary routing unit of up to 4.5 kW (6 hp) and a 0-90° blade unit of up to 2.2 kW (3 hp) can be added; SCM states the head can accommodate up to four machining units, including a dowel inserting device.
Vectorial speed in X-Y is 78 m/min in the ProSpeed version and 56 m/min in ProSpace. SCM quotes less than 15” for a tool change with the FAST14 tool changer.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two heights from one design: 180 mm (7.1 in) panel passage on the m100, 250 mm (9.8 in) on the m200
- Up to four machining units on the head, including a dowel inserting device
- Drilling unit with up to 21 independent vertical and 12 independent horizontal spindles
- m100 is available with a narrow 1320 mm Y for shops with limited depth
- Tool change in less than 15” with the FAST14 tool changer, according to SCM
Limitations
- The m100 is limited to 44 places on the tool changer, against 60 places on the m200
- The m200 is not listed with the 1320 mm Y sizes
- Drilling capacity is well below the Morbidelli M220, which lists 34 independent vertical spindles max.
- ProSpace version runs at 56 m/min against 78 m/min in ProSpeed

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The Z axis panel passage is 180 mm (7.1 in) on the m100 and 250 mm (9.8 in) on the m200, and the tool changer holds up to 44 places on the m100 against 60 places on the m200. The m100 is also offered in three sizes with a 1320 mm Y that the m200 does not have.
02
Both columns list up to 21 independent vertical spindles and 12 independent horizontal spindles, with a maximum rotation speed of 8000 rpm. An integrated blade in X with a diameter of 125 mm (4.9 in) is part of the drilling unit.
03
SCM describes a 5-axis direct-driven spindle head for this model and lists the routing unit at up to 15 kW (20.5 hp) and 24000 rpm. SCM also states the head can accommodate up to four machining units, so the configuration decides what is fitted.
04
SCM states less than 15” for the tool change with the FAST14 tool changer. The same statement says the TV FLEXMATIC work table removes downtime for set-up operations.
