Industrial CNC Craftmaster 612 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Industrial CNC Craftmaster 612 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Industrial CNC or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

At 73 x 144 x 12 in (1,854 x 3,658 x 305 mm), the Industrial CNC Craftmaster 612 has the largest working area in the Pro Series. The table is 85 x 186 in (2,159 x 4,724 mm), and the machine weighs 2,880 lb (1,306 kg) net. It is aimed at panels and layups that no standard sheet router holds: the maker names boat and RV manufacturing and aerospace work.

The extra inch over 72 in X is useful. A six-foot-wide panel can be trimmed on both long edges without repositioning.

Nothing else in the specification sheet changes with the size. Rapid speed is 0-900 ipm (0-22.9 m/min), X and Y use gear-reduced rack and pinion, Z a precision ball screw, and the frame is welded steel. The spindle is high-frequency and liquid-cooled, variable to 24,000 rpm. A buyer should read that sameness carefully: the Y travel is 50% longer than on the Artisan 408, while the listed weight rises only from 1,980 lb (898 kg) to 2,880 lb (1,306 kg), and the table gives no spindle power.

Hold-down is T-slot with clamps unless the multi-zoned vacuum bed is ordered. On a bed this long, vacuum zoning decides whether small parts cut far from the pump stay put, so it deserves a question at quotation. The same goes for the 8-station tool changer, which is an accessory, and for extended gantry clearance, which the maker offers as a custom build. Supply is AC 220 V.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Largest working area in the range: 73 x 144 x 12 in (1,854 x 3,658 x 305 mm)
  • 73 in (1,854 mm) of X lets a 72 in wide panel be trimmed on both edges
  • Rapid speed of 0-900 ipm (0-22.9 m/min) is unchanged from the smaller tables
  • Welded steel frame with an open-architecture bed, T-slot top and clamps as standard

Limitations

  • Occupies a table footprint of 85 x 186 in (2,159 x 4,724 mm) before loading space is added
  • Z stays at 12 in (305 mm) in the working area; more clearance is a custom order
  • Vacuum bed and tool changer are extras, and spindle power is not stated
  • Ships in a 168 x 88 x 34 in (4,267 x 2,235 x 864 mm) crate at 2,880 lb (1,306 kg) net

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How large is the Craftmaster 612 working area?

It is 73 x 144 x 12 in (1,854 x 3,658 x 305 mm). The table that carries it is 85 x 186 in (2,159 x 4,724 mm). Among the Pro Series machines, the Craftsman 510 is the next size down with a 60 x 120 x 12 in (1,524 x 3,048 x 305 mm) working area.

02 Is the Craftmaster 612 faster or more powerful than the smaller models?

The specification sheet lists the same figures as for the other full-size tables: a rapid speed of 0-900 ipm (0-22.9 m/min) and a liquid-cooled high-frequency spindle variable to 24,000 rpm. Spindle power is not published for any of them, and spindle and motor options are listed as accessories.

03 Can thicker material than 12 in be machined?

The standard working area has 12 in (305 mm) of Z. The maker states that custom extended gantry clearance is available up to 60”, and notes that options such as increased gantry height can affect operating specifications, so performance figures should be confirmed for a raised machine.

04 What should be checked before installation?

Access and weight first: the crate is 168 x 88 x 34 in (4,267 x 2,235 x 864 mm) and the machine weighs 2,880 lb (1,306 kg) net. Then power, which is AC 220 V for the machine, with any vacuum pump or dust collector supplied separately.
