How much does the Quaser MV3 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Quaser MV3 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A 1,020 mm (40.2") X travel puts the Quaser MV3 in the size class most job shops buy first. Y and Z are both 610 mm (24.0"), the spindle is a 40 taper, and the table measures 1,200 x 600 mm (47.2" x 23.6").
Table load is 500 kg (1,102 lbs). That is worth a second look, because the MV4 (#40), the next size up, is rated for 1,800 kg (3,968 lbs). The MV3 has room for long parts and multi-vise setups, but it is not the machine for a heavy mold base; the weight limit is reached long before the table is full.
Tooling is conventional for the class. The magazine carries 30 tools as standard, each up to 76.2 mm (3") in diameter with all pots filled, or 125 mm (4.9") when the neighboring pots are left empty. Tool length is limited to 280 mm (11.0"). Long-reach drills and boring bars need checking against that figure together with the 610 mm (24.0") of Z.
Quaser says the layout was designed with easy repair in mind, to reduce downtime, and names automobile, mold and die, electronic, aerospace, defense, medical and energy work as its applications. What the product page does not give is a usable spindle rating: no power, no torque, and no clear maximum speed. Ask for the spindle options and their charts with any quotation.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,020 mm (40.2") of X travel with 610 mm (24.0") in both Y and Z
- The 1,200 x 600 mm (47.2" x 23.6") table is longer than the X travel, leaving clamping room at both ends
- 30 tools as standard, up to 125 mm (4.9") in diameter with the neighboring pots empty
- Quaser states the layout takes easy repair into consideration to reduce downtime
Limitations
- Table load is 500 kg (1,102 lbs), far below the 1,800 kg (3,968 lbs) of the MV4 (#40)
- No spindle speed, power or torque can be taken from the product page; all three have to be requested
- Tool length is capped at 280 mm (11.0"), shorter than the 300 mm (11.8") the smaller MV1 accepts
- A full magazine restricts tool diameter to 76.2 mm (3")

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Travels are 1,020 mm (40.2") in X, 610 mm (24.0") in Y and 610 mm (24.0") in Z. The table is 1,200 x 600 mm (47.2" x 23.6"), so the Y travel covers the full table width.
02
Only up to a point. The table load capacity is 500 kg (1,102 lbs), including fixtures. If the work is heavier, the MV4 (#40) is rated for 1,800 kg (3,968 lbs) on a 1,400 x 700 mm (55.1" x 27.6") table.
03
The spindle is a 40 taper. Quaser's product page does not give a clear maximum speed for this model, and it lists no power or torque either, so the spindle has to be specified and confirmed in the quotation.
04
Magazine positions: 30 as standard. Maximum tool diameter is 76.2 mm (3"), or 125 mm (4.9") when the neighboring pots are empty. Maximum tool length is 280 mm (11.0").
