Overview
The Pinnacle LH500A is a single-table horizontal machining center with a 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) indexing table and travels of 650 mm (25.6 in), 560 mm (22.0 in) and 560 mm (22.0 in). It is the version without a pallet changer; the LH500B adds one.
A horizontal spindle and an indexing table let four sides of a part be machined in one clamping, with chips falling clear of the cut. The table index is given as 1° (0.001°), so the base table positions in one-degree steps and a 0.001° table is the alternative. Pinnacle describes a three-piece teeth plate with hydraulic locking for the indexing table, which is what gives it stiffness under heavy cuts.
