Overview

The Onsrud 6100M is the longest table Onsrud lists in the M-Series: 240 in (6,100 mm) of X on the 83 in (2,109 mm) wide bed, served by a 12 hp (8.9 kW), 24,000 rpm spindle. A twenty-foot sheet lies flat on it.

Six vacuum zones are standard, the most in the series. The machine is 330 in (8,382 mm) long and 140 in (3,556 mm) wide, and 91 in (2,312 mm) high.

A bed this long changes how the machine gets used. Two ten-foot sheets fit end to end, and long extrusion-like parts or boat and trailer panels can be cut in one piece. The moving gantry travels the full length, so cycle time on a full bed is dominated by travel, and a second or third spindle, which Onsrud lists as an upgrade, shortens it by cutting in parallel.

The limits are the same as on the shortest M-Series table. Z-stroke is 11 in (279 mm), tool capacity is 12 as standard, and the series shows one spindle rating. Onsrud positions the M-Series as its compact and economical line, so a buyer who wants this table length with a heavier gantry or a taller Z should compare the maker's other moving-gantry series.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 240 in (6,100 mm) of table X, the longest in the M-Series
  • 6 vacuum zones as standard
  • Wide 83 in (2,109 mm) bed on the same 140 in (3,556 mm) frame as the 3100M
  • Up to 3 spindles can be specified to cut in parallel along the bed

Limitations

  • Machine length of 330 in (8,382 mm)
  • Still a 12 hp (8.9 kW) spindle and an 11 in (279 mm) Z-stroke
  • One gantry covers the whole bed, so full-length jobs are travel-limited

Best For

Twenty-foot sheet and long one-piece panels Two ten-foot sheets on the bed at once Trailer, marine and sign panels in light materials

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the longest sheet the Onsrud 6100M can hold?

The table is 240 in (6,100 mm) long in X and 83 in (2,109 mm) wide in Y. It has 6 vacuum zones as standard, which lets shorter sheets be held on part of the bed.

02 How much space does the 6100M take up?

The machine is 330 in (8,382 mm) long, 140 in (3,556 mm) wide and 91 in (2,312 mm) high. The 5100M is shorter at 290 in (7,366 mm), with the same width and height.

03 Does the 6100M have a stronger spindle than the smaller M-Series models?

No. Every M-Series table is listed with the same 12 hp (8.9 kW), 24,000 rpm spindle. Output is raised by adding spindles, up to 3, not by a larger motor.

04 What is the Z-stroke of the 6100M?

11 in (279 mm), the same as the rest of the M-Series. The series page lists no taller Z option, so thick parts and tall fixtures need one of the maker's other lines.
