Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Onsrud 144GW8 5-Axis that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Onsrud 144GW8 5-Axis is the smallest of the eight-foot-wide tables in the 16 in and 18 in blocks of the G-Series 5-Axis chart. It measures 144 in (3,658 mm) in X by 96 in (2,439 mm) in Y, twelve feet by eight.
Width changes what a 5-axis head can reach. To trim the edge of a part, the head has to swing out beyond it, so the part must be smaller than the table by a margin on every side. On a five-foot table that margin eats into an already narrow part. On 96 in (2,439 mm) of Y, a five- or six-foot-wide part can sit in the middle with room for the head all round.
Onsrud lists a 16 in (406 mm) and an 18 in (457 mm) Z-stroke. The 16 in machine is 239 in (6,071 mm) long and 103 in (2,617 mm) high. The 18 in machine is 235 in (5,969 mm) long and 140 in (3,556 mm) high. Both are 172 in (4,369 mm) wide, and both have 3 vacuum zones as standard.
The working volume is wide and shallow. That fits thermoformed panels, flat composite lay-ups, cabinetry with angled joinery and aluminum sheet parts. The spindle is the series standard of 18 hp (13.4 kW) and 24,000 rpm, with a 33 hp (24.6 kW) option. Twelve tools are standard.

Table Y. The 145G 5-Axis has 61 in (1,550 mm) of Y; the 144GW8 5-Axis has 96 in (2,439 mm). A 5-axis head needs space beside the part to tilt and trim an edge, and the wider table provides it.

239 in (6,071 mm) by 172 in (4,369 mm) with the 16 in stroke, or 235 in (5,969 mm) by 172 in (4,369 mm) with the 18 in stroke. The machine is 103 in (2,617 mm) or 140 in (3,556 mm) high.

3 as standard. Formed parts usually sit on dedicated fixtures instead of the bare table, and Onsrud offers custom vacuum zones so the plumbing can match the fixtures.

The eight-foot-wide table with a 28 in stroke is the 120GW8 5-Axis, which has 120 in (3,048 mm) of table X and stands 155 in (3,937 mm) high. It gives up two feet of table for the extra stroke.
