How much does the Onsrud 146C cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Onsrud 146C that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Onsrud 146C is the top of the 3-axis C-Series: twin tables of 60 in (1,524 mm) by 72 in (1,829 mm) each and 4 vacuum zones, twice the count of the smaller models. An 18 hp (13.4 kW), 24,000 rpm spindle on a fixed bridge serves both tables.
Four zones give each table two. In practice that means a small part can be held on half a table without masking the rest, which the 98C and 122C cannot do out of the box.
The extra table depth shows up in the machine width only, 261 in (6,630 mm). The length is 129 in (3,277 mm) and the height 132 in (3,353 mm), the same as its smaller siblings. Planning the installation is therefore mostly a question of how much room the operator needs in front of each table to load.
Options follow the series: a 24 hp (17.9 kW) spindle, a second spindle, a second 12-position tool changer, and Z-strokes of 16 in (406 mm), 28 in (711 mm) and 40 in (1,016 mm). The 40 in stroke turns the 146C into a machine for moulds and tall blocks, though the footprint of each table still caps the part size. Controls are FANUC as standard, or Onsrud's touchscreen interface.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 4 vacuum zones as standard, two per table
- Largest C-Series tables: 60 in (1,524 mm) by 72 in (1,829 mm) each
- Z-stroke upgrades to 40 in (1,016 mm) for tall work
- Machine length stays at 129 in (3,277 mm)
Limitations
- 261 in (6,630 mm) of machine width
- Standard Z-stroke is only 11 in (279 mm)
- A single table still limits parts to 72 in (1,829 mm)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
4 as standard. The 98C and 122C have 2. With two tables that works out to two zones per table, which helps when parts are smaller than the table.
02
Each of the two tables is 60 in (1,524 mm) in X by 72 in (1,829 mm) in Y. The machine is 129 in (3,277 mm) long, 261 in (6,630 mm) wide and 132 in (3,353 mm) high.
03
The longest listed upgrade is 40 in (1,016 mm). The standard stroke is 11 in (279 mm), with 16 in (406 mm) and 28 in (711 mm) in between.
04
Yes. Onsrud lists a C-Series 5-Axis range that includes a 146C with twin 60 in (1,524 mm) by 72 in (1,829 mm) tables. It is a separate configuration with its own dimensions and options.
