How much does the Onsrud 120GW8 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Onsrud 120GW8 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Onsrud 120GW8 is the smallest G-Series machine that can be ordered with a 40 in (1,016 mm) Z-stroke. Its table is 120 in (3,048 mm) in X by 96 in (2,439 mm) in Y, ten feet by eight, and Onsrud lists it with either 28 in (711 mm) or 40 in of Z.
That combination is unusual in a 3-axis router. A table of modest area under a very tall gantry points to block work: thick stacks, large patterns, deep fixtures. Onsrud's note that the 40 in stroke is available on the Wide G-Series refers to this model and the other GW codes.
The two strokes share one frame. Both are 227 in (5,766 mm) long, 172 in (4,369 mm) wide and 167 in (4,242 mm) high in the maker's table, so the choice between 28 in and 40 in does not alter the footprint or the headroom. At nearly fourteen feet tall, the headroom is the constraint either way.
Three vacuum zones are standard. Tall blocks have little base area for their height, and vacuum alone may not resist side loads from a long tool, so plan mechanical clamping. The spindle is 18 hp (13.4 kW), 24,000 rpm, with 12 tools as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
28 in (711 mm) and 40 in (1,016 mm). The table and machine dimensions in Onsrud's table are identical for both, so the stroke can be chosen on the work alone.
02
167 in (4,242 mm) with either stroke, close to fourteen feet. The frame is 227 in (5,766 mm) long and 172 in (4,369 mm) wide. Confirm clearance for the Z-axis at full retract with the maker, since the table gives the machine height only.
03
The 144GW8 is the low-stroke model, listed with 11 in or 18 in of Z and a longer table X of 144 in (3,658 mm). The 120GW8 has 120 in (3,048 mm) of table X and the two tall strokes. Table Y is the same.
04
The table has 3 vacuum zones as standard. Vacuum holds flat-bottomed blocks well against vertical load, but tall parts cut with long tools see side loads, so clamps or screwed fixtures are sensible. Onsrud offers custom vacuum zones.
