LVD PPEC 250/32 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPEC 250/32 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The heavy half of the PPEC series begins with the LVD PPEC 250/32. Its table heading carries the words non mono frame, its press force is 2,500 kN and its working length 3,250 mm (128.0 in). Like every PPEC it is offered only for non-CE markets, according to LVD.

The heading matters. LVD does not expand on it, but it marks these machines off from the smaller PPEC-5 models, and a frame that is not a single piece raises questions about shipping, assembly on site and alignment that are worth putting to the maker.

The figures change character too. Approach speed halves to 100 mm/s, working speed is 9 mm/s and return 110 mm/s. The PPEC 220/32, only slightly weaker, approaches at 200 mm/s and works at 14 mm/s. In exchange the heavy frame brings a table 250 mm (9.8 in) wide, a 280 mm (11.0 in) stroke and 520 mm (20.5 in) of open height. The drive is a 22 kW servo motor with a 700 L tank.

LVD's nearest CE-market machine in layout is the PPED 260/30, which also has a 250 mm table and a 22 kW motor, with 670 mm of open height.

The throat is 400 mm (15.7 in), and 2,600 mm (102.4 in) lie between the uprights. The machine is 3,500 mm (137.8 in) long, 2,000 mm (78.7 in) wide and 3,500 mm high. Axes are Y1-Y2-X-V-R.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does non mono frame mean on the PPEC 250/32?

It is the wording of LVD's table heading for the PPEC models from 2,500 kN upward. The page does not explain it. It indicates a frame that is not a single piece, so ask LVD how the machine is shipped and assembled.

02 Why is it so much slower than the PPEC 220/32?

LVD gives the figures only. The PPEC 220/32 lists 200, 14 and 190 mm/s for approach, working and return. This model lists 100, 9 and 110 mm/s, with a 22 kW servo motor and a 700 L tank.

03 How does it compare with the PPED 260/30?

The PPED 260/30 has 2,600 kN, a 300 mm stroke, 670 mm of open height and speeds of 90, 10 and 80 mm/s, for CE markets. This model has 2,500 kN, a 280 mm stroke, 520 mm and speeds of 100, 9 and 110 mm/s.

04 How large is the machine?

3,500 mm (137.8 in) long, 2,000 mm (78.7 in) wide and 3,500 mm (137.8 in) high. LVD's PPEC table gives no weight.
