Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Easy-Form 500/40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Easy-Form 500/40 packs 5,000 kN into a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) working length. At 39,400 kg (86,861 lb) it is close to ten tonnes of machine for every metre of bed, the densest build in the Easy-Form series.
Nothing about it is quick. The ram approaches at 100 mm/s, bends at 9 mm/s and returns at 80 mm/s, the slowest return in the Easy-Form tables. The motor is still rated 37 kW, as on machines of less than half the force, and the oil volume is 650 L at 290 bar. LVD's turbo-hydraulic pump meters flow to the stroke, and on this model flow is plainly what is rationed.
That is acceptable for the work. A machine like this makes a few very heavy bends per part: thick wear plate, armour steel, bucket shells, press and mould components. Minutes go on handling and seconds on the stroke.
The working envelope is the heavy Easy-Form standard. Open height is 570 mm (22.4 in), stroke 300 mm (11.8 in), gap 400 mm (15.7 in), with 3,150 mm (124.0 in) between the uprights and a bed at 970 mm (38.2 in). The table is 200 mm (7.9 in) wide.
Watch the table rating. It is 2,500 kN/m, and 5,000 kN on a short tool exceeds that quickly, so short heavy bends need tooling and positions agreed with LVD.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 5,000 kN on a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) bed
- 39,400 kg (86,861 lb) of structure behind the bend
- 570 mm (22.4 in) opening with a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke
- Laser angle correction on armour and wear steels
- Working height of 970 mm (38.2 in)
Limitations
- Return speed of 80 mm/s and working speed of 9 mm/s
- Table rating of 2,500 kN/m limits short, full-force bends
- 37 kW motor for 5,000 kN of force
- 650 L of hydraulic oil to fill and maintain

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Approach is 100 mm/s, working speed 9 mm/s and return 80 mm/s. The Easy-Form 400/40 returns at 120 mm/s and works at 11 mm/s. Both have a 37 kW motor.
02
The table is rated at 2,500 kN/m, so the rating, not the cylinders, limits short bends. LVD's page gives no further guidance; tooling and load position for narrow heavy parts should be agreed with the maker.
03
39,400 kg (86,861 lb), with 650 L of oil. The Easy-Form 400/40, with the same bed and frame opening, is listed at 30,500 kg.
04
LVD makes no thickness exception. The Easy-Form Laser system is described as compensating for sheet thickness variation, strain hardening and grain direction by measuring the angle and adjusting the punch in real time.
