Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPEB 50/20 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
LVD's headline for the PPEB promises capacities from 80 tons, yet the specification table opens with a smaller machine. The LVD PPEB 50/20 has 500 kN of pressing force and a 2,000 mm (78.7 in) working length.
It is the odd one out in more ways than force. Its gap is 300 mm (11.8 in), where the PPEB 80/20 has 400 mm, and its oil tank holds 180 L against 125 L. It is also the quickest PPEB of the small sizes: 150 mm/s approach, 17 mm/s working speed and 190 mm/s return, from a 7.5 kW motor.
Set beside LVD's economy model of the same size, the PPEB shows what the higher series adds. The PPED 50/20 works at 9 mm/s, returns at 95 mm/s and has a table rated at 1,000 kN/m. This machine nearly doubles each of those figures, with a 2,000 kN/m table 120 mm (4.7 in) wide.
The rest is the small-PPEB pattern. Stroke is 200 mm (7.9 in), open height 400 mm (15.7 in), working height 970 mm (38.2 in), with 1,550 mm (61.0 in) between the uprights. Weight is 5,500 kg (12,125 lb).
PPEB is LVD's configurable press brake, so the backgauge, clamping and table are chosen at order. The backgauge alone runs from two axes (X-R) to six.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 17 mm/s working speed and 190 mm/s return on a 7.5 kW motor
- 2,000 kN/m table rating, twice that of the PPED 50/20
- Backgauge configurable from 2 to 6 axes
- 5,500 kg (12,125 lb) and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of bed
- 19-inch Touch-B control with CADMAN-B offline programming
Limitations
- Gap of 300 mm (11.8 in), shallower than the 400 mm of the PPEB 80/20
- 500 kN limits it to light sheet
- 1,550 mm (61.0 in) between the uprights
- Automatic crowning is standard only on the PPEB-5 and PPEB-8 versions

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The PPED 50/20 has a 4 kW motor, a 9 mm/s working speed, a 95 mm/s return, 500 mm of open height and a 140 mm table rated at 1,000 kN/m. The PPEB lists 7.5 kW, 17 mm/s, 190 mm/s, 400 mm and a 120 mm table rated at 2,000 kN/m.
02
LVD offers the PPEB with a 2-, 5- or 6-axis backgauge, from X-R up to X-R-Z1-Z2-X’, positioned automatically by the control. The choice is made when the machine is configured.
03
LVD's automatic crowning, a wedge system machined for the individual machine, is standard on the PPEB-5 and PPEB-8 versions. The page does not say which versions are offered at this size.
