Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Easy-Form 220/40 Plus that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Easy-Form 220/40 Plus gives a four-metre, 2,200 kN press brake the headroom of LVD's heavy machines: 570 mm (22.4 in) between table and ram, a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke and a table 200 mm (7.9 in) wide.
Length and depth together are what make it useful. Long parts are rarely flat. Lorry cross-members, crane box sections, long cabinets and deep trays all have legs that must clear the ram as the part folds up, and each needs to come out afterwards. With 400 mm of opening, as on the Easy-Form 220/40, some of them cannot be made in one piece.
LVD lists the Plus at 17,200 kg (37,919 lb). Working height is 1,000 mm (39.4 in). The uprights are 4,000 mm (157.5 in) of bed apart by 3,150 mm (124.0 in) of clear width, with a 400 mm (15.7 in) gap for the overhang.
Speeds do not change with the Plus build: 120 mm/s approach, 21 mm/s under load, 200 mm/s return, from a 37 kW motor at 285 bar. LVD's turbo-hydraulic pump meters the flow to what the stroke needs.
As on all Easy-Form machines, scanners follow the angle through the bend. On deep sections that is hard to do by hand, because a protractor will not reach inside a long channel; the laser system needs no access.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 570 mm (22.4 in) of open height on a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) bed
- 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke clears deep legs
- 200 mm (7.9 in) table width
- Angle measured in process, inside sections a hand gauge cannot reach
- No loss of ram speed against the standard model
Limitations
- 17,200 kg (37,919 lb), against 15,300 kg for the Easy-Form 220/40
- 3,150 mm (124.0 in) between uprights
- Working height raised to 1,000 mm (39.4 in)
- 2,200 kN shared over four metres on full-length plate bends

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The Easy-Form 220/40 lists a 200 mm stroke, 400 mm of open height, a 120 mm table and 15,300 kg. The Plus lists a 300 mm stroke, 570 mm (22.4 in), a 200 mm table and 17,200 kg. Force, bed, motor and speeds are identical.
02
Yes. The Easy-Form 220/42 Plus has the same stroke, opening and table with 3,820 mm between the uprights and a 4,270 mm working length, at a weight of 18,700 kg.
03
LVD's scanners measure the bend angle continuously and send it to the control, which adjusts the punch position at once. The operator does not have to stop and gauge the part, which is awkward inside a deep or long section.
04
285 bar, a 37 kW motor and a 425 L oil tank. Cylinders are machined from solid steel billet and the pistons are hardened, precision-ground forgings, according to LVD.
