Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPEC 600/40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD PPEC 600/40 is the strongest size in LVD's PPEC series, with a press force of 6,000 kN on a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) working length. LVD offers the series in non-CE markets only.
Everything about it is scaled for thick plate. The stroke is 320 mm (12.6 in) and the open height 640 mm (25.2 in), the largest in the PPEC table. The table is 300 mm (11.8 in) wide, enough for the very large V-openings that heavy plate demands. A 45 kW servo motor and a 1,000 L oil tank supply the cylinders.
It is also the slowest PPEC. Approach is 80 mm/s, working speed 7 mm/s and return 80 mm/s. That is expected at this force, and it matters little where a part receives two or three bends between crane lifts.
A comparison with LVD's heaviest PPEB of similar length is instructive. The PPEB 640/45 has 6,400 kN with a 55 kW motor, a 9 mm/s working speed and 570 mm of open height on a 200 mm table. The PPEC gives more daylight and a wider table, with a little less force and speed.
The building must suit it: the machine is 4,500 mm (177.2 in) high, 4,800 mm (189.0 in) long and 2,800 mm (110.2 in) wide. Between the uprights there are 3,150 mm (124.0 in), with a 400 mm (15.7 in) throat. The frame is listed as non mono.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The PPEB 640/45 has 6,400 kN, a 55 kW motor, a 9 mm/s working speed, 570 mm of open height and a 200 mm table. The PPEC has 6,000 kN, 45 kW, 7 mm/s, 640 mm and a 300 mm table.
02
The machine is 4,800 mm (189.0 in) long, 2,800 mm (110.2 in) wide and 4,500 mm (177.2 in) high. LVD publishes no weight for it, so foundation loads must come from the maker.
03
80 mm/s approach, 7 mm/s working speed and 80 mm/s return, the lowest figures in the PPEC table. The PPEC 400/40 lists 100, 9 and 90 mm/s.
04
The PPEC 600/60 has the same force, stroke, opening and table on a 6,000 mm working length, with 5,050 mm between the uprights.
