How much does the LICO LND-65AY cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LICO LND-65AY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Chuck work is where the LICO LND-65AY pulls away from its smaller sibling. This Y-axis CNC turret lathe passes 65 mm (2.6 in) bar through a 78 mm (3.1 in) spindle hole, and with the optional 8 in hollow power chuck it turns parts up to 210 mm (8.3 in) in diameter. The LND-42AY stops at 165 mm (6.5 in).
The larger spindle nose, an ISO A2-6, is the main mechanical change. Speed comes down to 4,000 rpm. Spindle power does not go up with the bar size: the table gives 9 kW (12.1 hp) for both models, so on 65 mm stock in steel the motor, not the bore, sets the depth of cut. LICO prints no spindle torque.
Everything on the tool side is shared. Z travel is 300 mm (11.8 in), X is 150 mm (5.9 in) and the Y-axis slide moves ±55 mm (±2.2 in), 110 mm (4.3 in). The turret is the 12-station BARUFFALDI S12LT, with a 12-station tool turret and tool holders listed as standard equipment, or the 8-station LICO S8LT as an option. With a chuck fitted the turning length is 254 mm (10 in); with the F72 collet chuck it is 300 mm (11.8 in).
For shaft-type parts the optional hydraulic tailstock has a 50 mm (2.0 in) quill and an MT-3 / MT-4 centre. The machine weighs 3,600 kg (7,937 lb) and occupies 2,780 x 1,750 x 1,950 mm (109.4 x 68.9 x 76.8 in). The total power requirement is printed as 20 / 25 kVA without saying which figure applies to which configuration.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Turns up to 210 mm (8.3 in) in diameter with the optional 8 in hollow power chuck
- 65 mm (2.6 in) bar capacity through a 78 mm (3.1 in) spindle hole on an ISO A2-6 nose
- Y-axis slide with ±55 mm (±2.2 in), 110 mm (4.3 in) of travel for live tool milling
- Same floor space as the LND-42AY at only 3,600 kg (7,937 lb)
- Spindle brake and dividing system is standard equipment
Limitations
- Spindle motor stays at 9 kW (12.1 hp) although the bar capacity rises to 65 mm (2.6 in)
- Maximum spindle speed is 4,000 rpm, against 5,000 rpm on the LND-42AY
- Turning length with a 3-jaw chuck is 254 mm (10 in), shorter than the 280 mm (11 in) of the LND-42AY
- The 8 in hollow power chuck and the hydraulic tailstock are optional accessories
- The table states total power as 20 / 25 kVA without explaining the two figures

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists an 8 in 3-jaw chuck, and the 8 in hollow power chuck appears under optional accessories. The standard workholding is an F72 collet chuck for bar up to 65 mm (2.6 in). With the chuck the maximum turning diameter is 210 mm (8.3 in).
02
Z-axis slide travel is 300 mm (11.8 in) and X-axis travel 150 mm (5.9 in), the same with the S8LT and S12LT turrets. The Y-axis slide travels ±55 mm (±2.2 in), 110 mm (4.3 in). Resolution is 0.001 mm (0.0001 in).
03
No. Both are listed with a 9 kW (12.1 hp) spindle motor. The LND-65AY has the larger bore and an ISO A2-6 spindle nose and is limited to 4,000 rpm, while the LND-42AY has an ISO A2-5 nose and runs to 5,000 rpm.
04
Machine weight is 3,600 kg (7,937 lb). Overall dimensions are 2,780 x 1,750 x 1,950 mm (109.4 x 68.9 x 76.8 in) as length, width and height. The coolant tank holds 160 L and the hydraulic tank 35 L.
