Jingdiao JDLVM800T_A13S

The Jingdiao JDLVM800T_A13S is a long, narrow 3-axis machining center: 800 mm (31.5 in) of X travel against 400 mm (15.7 in) of Y, over an 840 × 440 mm (33.1 × 17.3 in) table. The proportions are deliberate. Jingdiao says the long X axis lets the table be laid out as several stations machined independently, and that a multi-station rotary table can be added to combine operations. It is aimed at hardware for consumer electronics, with precision mold work as a second use.

Cycle time on such parts is dominated by tool changes, and the data sheet gives the figure: 1.2 seconds tool-to-tool from a chain magazine with a manipulator and 32 tools. The spindle runs to 24,000 rpm on BT30 and supports high-speed rigid tapping. The maker also states a usable maximum tool diameter of 160 mm, large for a BT30 machine, which allows fly cutters and face mills for the flat faces of housings.

Structurally it is a portal machine whose beam rides on three rails, with cooling on the screws and the spindle to limit thermal drift. Positioning accuracy is 0.006 / 0.006 / 0.006 mm (X/Y/Z) and repeatability 0.0045 / 0.0045 / 0.0045 mm. The top feed is 12 m/min (472 ipm), a little above the 10 m/min (394 ipm) of the JDLVM400T_A10S, with rapids of 15 m/min (591 ipm).

Z travel is 350 mm (13.8 in) and the table carries 150 kg (331 lb), which is modest across a table this long, so heavy multi-station fixtures need a weight check. The front door is a double folding automatic door with a large window and a safety lock. The control cabinet sits at the rear to keep the footprint narrow. Machine weight is 4,800 kg (10,582 lb).
