Overview
The Jainnher JHI-150CNC is a compact CNC internal grinding machine for bores from 6 to 150 mm (0.2 to 5.9 in) in diameter and up to 150 mm (5.9 in) deep. Parts up to 200 mm (7.9 in) long are held in a chuck on an A2-5 spindle nose, inside a chuck guard that clears 280 mm (11.0 in).
Both feed axes are servo driven through ball screws on roller linear guideways. The wheel head's X axis has 100 mm (3.9 in) of stroke and the table's Z axis 450 mm (17.7 in), each with an 8 m/min (315 ipm) rapid and a 0.001 mm setting unit. Jainnher says the arrangement suits blind hole, end face and taper grinding in an automatic cycle. For tapers the work head swivels; the specification table gives ±8°.
The work head is also servo driven, at 10 to 1,000 rpm. Jainnher's point is that the spindle can be positioned, which makes releasing the workpiece easier, and that torque holds at low speed. The wheel spindle is belt driven from a 3 HP (2.2 kW) motor whose own weight sets the belt tension.
Control is a FANUC (Oi-Mate TC) with an 8.4 in colour LCD and a macro-program interface, so a cycle of coarse grinding, dressing, fine grinding and spark-out is filled in rather than written. An end face grinding device is optional and lets the bore and the face be finished in one clamping. The machine is sold with a full or a semi splash guard. The full-guard version weighs 2,900 kg (6,393 lb), the semi-guard version 2,500 kg (5,511 lb).
