How much does the Hwacheon Hi-TECH 750 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hwacheon Hi-TECH 750 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hwacheon Hi-TECH 750 is a heavy turning center for work up to Ø760 mm (Ø29.9 in) in diameter, with a Ø1,200 mm (Ø47.2 in) swing over the bed and turning lengths from 2,141 to 2,250 mm (84.3 to 88.6 in) on the standard bed up to 4,141 to 4,250 mm (163.0 to 167.3 in) on the XL. Its saddle clears Ø760 mm (Ø29.9 in) as well, so the full turning diameter is usable along the bed.
Like the Hi-TECH 650 it comes in A and B headstocks, but both are heavier here. The 750A has an 18 in chuck as standard (15 or 21 in optional), an A2-11 nose and a Ø132 mm (Ø5.2 in) bore, with 37 / 30 kW (49.6 / 40.2 hp) and 3,071 Nm (2,265 lb-ft), or 45 / 37 kW and 3,735 Nm as an option. It runs to 1,800 rpm, 1,700 rpm with the 21 in chuck. The 750B takes a 21 in chuck (24 in optional) on an A2-15 nose, a Ø185 mm (Ø7.3 in) bore for Ø164 mm (Ø6.5 in) bar, and 45 / 37 kW (60.3 / 49.6 hp) with 6,112 Nm (4,508 lb-ft). That is close to double the torque of the standard 750A, for 1,500 rpm, or 1,400 rpm with the 24 in chuck.
X travel is 430 mm (16.9 in) and the turret takes Ø80 mm boring bars alongside □32 mm shanks. Both axes rapid at 18 m/min (709 ipm) on the standard bed; Z slows to 14 m/min (551 ipm) on the L and 10 m/min (394 ipm) on the XL. The tailstock rides a Ø160 mm (Ø6.3 in) cylinder with an MT #6 quill.
MC and YMC versions use BMT 85 driven-tool holders, 11 / 7.5 kW (14.8 / 10.1 hp) and 3,000 rpm, with ±100 mm (±3.9 in) of Y travel on the YMC. Weight is 20,500 to 22,300 kg (45,194 to 49,163 lb) on the standard bed and reaches 27,500 to 29,300 kg (60,627 to 64,595 lb) on the XL. Plan for 85 kVA.
