How much does the Hartford HSA-832EAY cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford HSA-832EAY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Four metres of Y travel on a table 2,500 mm wide and eight metres long: the Hartford HSA-832EAY has the most generous side clearance of the long, narrow five-face HSA machines. Y travel is 4,000 mm (157.5 in), X travel 8,000 mm (315.0 in), the table 8,000 x 2,500 mm (315.0 x 98.4 in) and its rating 27,000 kg (59,524 lb).
Four models share that table. In order of Y travel they are the HSA-828EA with 2,800 mm (110.2 in), the HSA-832EA with 3,200 mm (126.0 in), the HSA-828EAY with 3,600 mm (141.7 in), and this one. None carries more than 27,000 kg, so the progression is purely about how far the spindle can travel beyond the table.
An eight-metre X axis is driven through a supported ballscrew, standard on all models above 5 meters, by a direct-coupled servo motor. Hartford attributes a backlash reduction of more than 30% to the direct drive on the three axes.
The table lists the #50 gear head at 6,000 rpm with 8,000 rpm as an option, and a hybrid spindle at 10,000 rpm. Thirty-one T-slots of the 28 size take the fixtures. Z travel is 1,000 mm; 1,200 mm is available.
