Overview

The Haas VF-9SS is the super-speed version of the VF-9, combining 2,134 x 813 x 762 mm (84 x 32 x 30 in) of travel with a 12,000 RPM inline direct-drive spindle. Seven feet of X-travel with high-speed cutting capability puts the VF-9SS in rare territory: very few manufacturers offer SS-class performance on a machine this large.

The 22.4 kW (30 hp) inline direct-drive spindle delivers 122 Nm (90 ft-lbf) of torque at 2,000 RPM while spinning to 12,000 RPM. Like all SS models, the direct-drive eliminates belts and gears for smoother high-RPM operation and better surface finishes. The CT40/BT40/HSK-A63 taper maintains compatibility with existing 40-taper tooling.
