Overview

The Haas VF-3YT is the extended-Y version of the VF-3: a 40-taper vertical machining center with 40 × 26 × 25 in (1,016 × 660 × 635 mm) of travel and a 54 × 24 in (1,372 × 610 mm) table rated for 3,500 lb (1,588 kg). Compared with the VF-3, which has 20 in (508 mm) of Y and a 48 × 18 in (1,219 × 457 mm) table, it is the machine for parts and fixtures that are deep front to back.

The larger frame changes more than the envelope. Rapids are 710 ipm (18 m/min) and the top cutting feedrate is 500 ipm (12.7 m/min), where the VF-3 is listed at 1,000 ipm (25.4 m/min) and 650 ipm (16.5 m/min).
