How much does the Fidia Y2G/Q4 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fidia Y2G/Q4 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fidia Y2G/Q4 is a double-gantry version of the GTF/Q4: two crossbeams, each with its own head, on one long bed. X travel starts from 10,000 mm (394 in), Y is 2,200 mm (87 in), 3,500 mm (138 in) or 4,000 mm (157 in), and Z runs from 1,000 mm (39 in) to 2,500 mm (98 in).
Two heads change the economics of a long machine. Fidia describes two modes. Both heads can work on the same piece, which shortens the cycle on a long die or panel. Or each head can work on its own piece with a bulkhead between them, which turns one installation into two machines that share a bed and a foundation.
The heads are bi-rotary, continuous or indexed, with an A stroke of -100°/+95° and a C stroke of ±360°. Maximum power is 55 kW. Maximum speed is 28,000 1/min on HSK63A or 14,000 1/min on HSK100A. Axis speeds reach up to 60 m/min (2,362 ipm), and tool magazine capacity runs from 2x24 to 2x120 positions.
Fidia states that Y2G configurations apply to the /R, /L and /Q versions of the GTF, so the structure under the two crossbeams follows the chosen family. Because the X axis stroke is adapted to the requirement, the figures here describe a range. The actual envelope, table and weight are settled project by project.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two independent heads on one bed, working on the same piece or on two separate pieces
- Bulkhead option that splits the machine into two work areas
- Axis speeds up to 60 m/min (2,362 ipm)
- Tool magazine capacity from 2x24 to 2x120 positions
- Z stroke options from 1,000 mm (39 in) to 2,500 mm (98 in)
Limitations
- X travel starts from 10,000 mm (394 in), so this is a large-hall installation only
- Maximum spindle power is listed as 55 kW, below the 92 kW available on the GTF/Q4 with the M5S3 head
- The A stroke of -100°/+95° is asymmetrical
- Two heads mean two sets of tooling, probing and maintenance

Frequently Asked Questions
01
It is the double-crossbeam version of Fidia's GTF gantry. Two independent heads travel on the same X axis and can either share one workpiece or work on two different pieces separated by a bulkhead. Fidia says Y2G configurations apply to the /R, /L and /Q versions.
02
X starts from 10,000 mm (394 in) and is adapted to the requirement. Y is 2,200 mm (87 in), 3,500 mm (138 in) or 4,000 mm (157 in). Z is from 1,000 mm (39 in) to 2,500 mm (98 in). Axis speeds are up to 60 m/min (2,362 ipm).
03
The table lists a maximum power of 55 kW with a maximum speed of 28,000 1/min on HSK63A or 14,000 1/min on HSK100A. The heads are bi-rotary, continuous or indexed, with an A stroke of -100°/+95° and a C stroke of ±360°.
04
Tool magazine capacity is listed as from 2x24 to 2x120 positions. Maximum tool dimensions and weights are not given, so they need to be confirmed for the head and toolholder chosen.
