How much does the Durma PB2 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Durma PB2 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Durma PB2 is a servo-electric panel bender, which Durma calls a bending center: the sheet lies flat on a table, a manipulator positions it, and upper and lower blades fold each flange up or down while a holder clamps the sheet. It is the smaller of two models, with a maximum bending length of 2,350 mm (92.5 in), 320 kN of bending force and 550 kN of holding force.
Thickness is the first thing to check. The PB2 is rated for 2.5 mm steel at a UTS of 410 N/mm², 1.8 mm stainless steel at 680 N/mm² and 3.5 mm aluminium at 265 N/mm², down to a minimum of 0.4 mm. That is panel and cabinet territory. The PB4 goes to 3.2 mm in steel.
Blank sizes run from 300 mm (11.8 in) to 3,050 mm (120.1 in) in length and from 150 mm (5.9 in) to 1,524 mm (60.0 in) in width, with a maximum diagonal of 3,300 mm (129.9 in). Flanges can be up to 254 mm (10.0 in) high and are bent through ±135° in one step, positive or negative, without turning the sheet over. Bends must be at least 150 mm (5.9 in) apart, or 120 mm (4.7 in) with the over clamp option.
Setup is where a panel bender pays back. Automatic tool setup (ATS) is standard and changes the holder tool length in 6 mm steps from the program. Durma counts 32 servo axes on the machine, run by a Sinumerik 840DSL controller, with pneumatics only for on-off movements. Average consumption is given as 3.75 kWh.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Positive and negative bends through ±135° in one step, with the sheet lying flat
- Automatic tool setup (ATS) is standard and adjusts tool length in 6 mm steps
- Servo-electric axis movements, with an average consumption of 3.75 kWh
- Flange height up to 254 mm (10.0 in)
- Takes blanks up to 3,050 mm (120.1 in) long and 1,524 mm (60.0 in) wide
Limitations
- Steel thickness is limited to 2.5 mm at a UTS of 410 N/mm², stainless steel to 1.8 mm
- Maximum bending length is 2,350 mm (92.5 in), against 2,820 mm (111.0 in) on the PB4
- Bends closer than 150 mm (5.9 in) need the optional over clamp or narrow part feeder
- The blank must be flat to within 10 mm (0.4 in)

The maximum is 2.5 mm in steel with a UTS of 410 N/mm², 1.8 mm in stainless steel with a UTS of 680 N/mm² and 3.5 mm in aluminium with a UTS of 265 N/mm². The minimum thickness is 0.4 mm. Bending force is 320 kN and holding force 550 kN.
02
Sheet length from 300 mm (11.8 in) to 3,050 mm (120.1 in), sheet width from 150 mm (5.9 in) to 1,524 mm (60.0 in), and a diagonal of no more than 3,300 mm (129.9 in). The maximum bending length is 2,350 mm (92.5 in) and the maximum bending height 254 mm (10.0 in).
03
The PB4 is longer and stronger: 2,820 mm (111.0 in) of bending length, 500 kN of bending force and 3.2 mm in steel. The PB2 bends 2,350 mm (92.5 in) with 320 kN. Blank size limits, flange height and the ±135° angle range are the same in Durma's table.
04
Durma names the Sinumerik 840DSL CNC controller, with a Durma operator interface and a bending database for standard materials. PB Designer CAD/CAM software is standard equipment and creates programs directly from a DXF drawing.
