Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Danobat DANUNI-4100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With Ø4,100 mm (Ø161 in) of swing over the gap, the Danobat DANUNI-4100 is the larger of Danobat's two gap bed grinders for landing gear components. It is the size for the largest gear legs, where the leg, its trunnions and its attachment lugs describe a circle more than four metres across when the part turns.
Unlike its smaller sibling, this model lists a single gap entry: 0-1,450 mm (0-57.1 in). The DANUNI-3050 shows a 500 mm (19.6 in) gap with an adjustable one as an option; here the table prints only the adjustable range and carries no asterisk. The swing over the table is Ø1,600 mm (Ø63 in), so even the section of the part that runs over the full bed has generous clearance. Distance between centers is 3,750 mm (147.6 in).
What does not grow is the grinding end. The wheel is Ø915 mm (Ø36 in), the wheelhead 20 kW (26.8 hp), the peripheral speed 60 m/s (11,811 sfpm), and the weight between centers 1,500 kg (3,307 lb). A buyer should read that literally. The machine is larger to give clearance, not to carry heavier parts or take heavier cuts.
Danobat's description of the DANUNI concentrates on the process around the machine: tooling that keeps an asymmetric part balanced and stops it being mounted wrongly, a touch-screen interface for configuring any undercarriage with its tooling and its grinding and measuring application, and an integrated MDM gauge that measures oversize before the cut and reports roundness, run-out, cylindricity and diameters afterwards. The ergonomic design is said to allow easy part assembly, safe movement on the machine and space for maintenance.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Ø4,100 mm (Ø161 in) swing over the gap for the largest landing gear legs
- Gap width listed as 0-1,450 mm (0-57.1 in)
- Ø1,600 mm (Ø63 in) swing over the table and 3,750 mm (147.6 in) between centers
- Touch-screen interface for configuring any undercarriage, its tooling and its grinding and measuring application
- Integrated MDM gauge checks oversize before machining and outputs metrological reports
Limitations
- Weight between centers remains 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) in spite of the larger swing
- 20 kW (26.8 hp) wheelhead and 60 m/s (11,811 sfpm) wheel speed, identical to the DANUNI-3050
- A machine dedicated to landing gear; Danobat lists no other workpiece for it
- Footprint, machine weight and foundation needs are not published

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The part may swing Ø4,100 mm (Ø161 in) over the gap and Ø1,600 mm (Ø63 in) over the table, with up to 3,750 mm (147.6 in) between centers. Its weight between centers must not exceed 1,500 kg (3,307 lb), which includes whatever balancing tooling rotates with it.
02
The gap width is printed as a range, 0-1,450 mm (0-57.1 in), with no fixed value beside it. On the DANUNI-3050 a comparable range is footnoted as an optional CNC moving gap. Danobat's table does not repeat that footnote for this model, so confirm whether the moving gap is standard here.
03
The size of the DANUNI-4100 comes from the part's swing, not from the cut. The ground surfaces are journals and bores finished through thin hard coatings, and Danobat lists superfinishing among the operations. A Ø915 mm (Ø36 in) wheel at 60 m/s (11,811 sfpm) on 20 kW (26.8 hp) is what the table provides for that.
04
Danobat lists ID, face and OD grinding, superfinishing, and mild OD, ID and thread turning, together with conditioning of vitrified diamond wheels. Combining them matters on landing gear because re-mounting and re-balancing a part of this shape is slow and is a source of error.
