Overview
The CHMER NV432L is a submerged wire EDM with 400 x 300 x 250 mm (15.7 x 11.8 x 9.8 in) travels, UX1 linear motors on X and Y, and CHMER's N-Type Controller running GenOS (LINUX) behind a 24" color touch screen. It is the smaller of the two NV models.
Automation is where CHMER puts the emphasis. The NV series carries the 6th Gen AWT system, which the maker says shortens wire threading and cutting time by over 20% and reduces overall power consumption by 48%. Threading can resume at the break point after an interruption instead of returning to the start, and the tank door rises and falls automatically at a button press or from a program.
