How much does the CHMER HM65(G)T cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CHMER HM65(G)T that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CHMER HM65(G)T is the larger ballscrew model in CHMER's HM high speed milling range. Its travels are 500 x 600 x 300 mm (19.7 x 23.6 x 11.8 in), with Y longer than X, and its spindle is an HSK E40 unit listed at 8,000-30,000 rpm with a 10/11.5 kW (S1/S6) motor.
That motor is the real step up. With roughly three times the continuous power of the HM43(G)T and the larger E40 interface, this machine can rough as well as finish moulds in hardened steel with medium-size cutters, where the smaller mill is limited to electrodes and light finishing. The table measures 540 x 650 mm (21.3 x 25.6 in) and takes 300 kg (661 lb).
Rapid traverse is 18 m/min (709 ipm) on AC servo motor axes and work feed is 10 m/min (394 ipm). Daylight under the spindle ranges from 140 to 440 mm, so a tall vice or a 4th axis rotary table, which CHMER offers as an option, still leaves room for the tool.
CHMER's quality routine for the series includes laser measurement of the X and Y axes and ball bar testing of their simultaneous movement. The control is CHMER's own high speed milling CNC. As on the smaller machine, the ATC is an option. Net weight is 4,300 kg (9,480 lb). A small slip on CHMER's page: the specification column for this model is headed HE65(G)T.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 10/11.5 kW (S1/S6) spindle motor on an HSK E40 taper
- 500 x 600 x 300 mm (19.7 x 23.6 x 11.8 in) travels with a 300 kg (661 lb) table load
- 8,000-30,000 rpm spindle speed range
- 18 m/min (709 ipm) rapid traverse
- 140-440 mm (5.5-17.3 in) from table surface to spindle nose
Limitations
- ATC is an option, as are linear scales and the 4th axis rotary table
- Table load of 300 kg (661 lb) limits mould base size
- No machine dimensions in the published table
- 4,300 kg (9,480 lb) net weight

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The spindle motor row reads 10/11.5 kW (S1/S6), on an HSK E40 taper with a speed range of 8,000-30,000 rpm. The HM43(G)T, by comparison, is listed at 3/5 kW (S1/S6) on HSK E32.
02
Travel (X x Y x Z) is 500 x 600 x 300 mm (19.7 x 23.6 x 11.8 in). The working table is 540 x 650 mm (21.3 x 25.6 in) and the maximum table load is 300 kg (661 lb).
03
Rapid traverse on X, Y and Z is 18 m/min (709 ipm) and work feed is 10 m/min (394 ipm). The axes are driven by AC servo motors, and CHMER uses precision linear guide ways and ball screws.
