Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CAMPRO 6 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CAMPRO 6 is the maker's horizontal machining center, a 50-taper machine with a 630 × 630 mm (24.8 in x 24.8 in) pallet and travels of 1,000 mm (39.3 in) in X, 850 mm (33.4 in) in Y and 950 mm (37.4 in) in Z. Campro describes it as intended for large parts and tombstone work.
The working range shows why. A workpiece can be up to Ø1,050 × H1,000 mm (Ø41.3 in x H39.3 in), well beyond the pallet itself, and the pallet carries 1,000 kg (2,204 lb). The pallet indexes in 1° steps. That is enough for four-sided tombstone machining and angled faces at whole degrees, but it is not a contouring B axis. The spindle center sits 100~950 mm (3.9 in ~ 37.4 in) above the table surface, and the spindle nose reaches from 150~1,100 mm (5.9 in ~ 43.3 in) from the table center.
Tooling is on the heavy side. The 7/24 taper No.50 spindle runs to 10,000 rpm, and the 40-tool magazine accepts tools of 20 kg (44 lb), 500 mm (19.6 in) long and Ø120 mm (Ø4.7 in), or Ø240 mm (Ø9.4 in) beside empty pockets. Tool change is 3.5 sec tool to tool and 7 sec chip to chip. All three linear axes rapid at 36 m/min.
Campro states that the machine is built from FC300 cast iron with a T-shape one piece base and a dual wall column, and that roller type linear guideways are used on 3 axes. One gap in the published table: the spindle motor row is printed with a weight unit, so no spindle power is given here. Ask Campro for the motor rating. Plan for 24,000 kg (52,910 lb), a 7,135 × 5,068 mm (280 in x 199 in) floor plan and 60 kVA.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Maximum working range of Ø1,050 × H1,000 mm (Ø41.3 in x H39.3 in) on a 630 × 630 mm (24.8 in x 24.8 in) pallet
- 50-taper spindle at 10,000 rpm with tools up to 20 kg (44 lb) and 500 mm (19.6 in) long
- 36 m/min rapids on X, Y and Z
- T-shape one piece base and dual wall column in FC300 cast iron, as Campro describes the construction
- Travels of 1,000 mm (39.3 in), 850 mm (33.4 in) and 950 mm (37.4 in) in X, Y and Z
Limitations
- Pallet indexing is in 1° steps, so there is no continuous B-axis contouring in the table
- Chip to chip time of 7 sec is slow for parts with many short operations
- The published spindle motor row carries a weight unit, so no spindle power figure is available from the page
- Needs 60 kVA and a foundation for 24,000 kg (52,910 lb)
- Pallet load of 1,000 kg (2,204 lb) has to cover the tombstone, fixtures and parts together

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table is 630 × 630 mm (24.8 in x 24.8 in) with M16 × 2P screw holes, and the maximum loading weight is 1,000 kg (2,204 lb). The maximum working range is Ø1,050 × H1,000 mm (Ø41.3 in x H39.3 in). Campro describes the machine as suited to large parts and tombstones.
02
The table lists the index of the pallet as 1°. That allows the pallet to be positioned at whole-degree angles for multi-face machining. It is an indexing table as published; the page does not list a continuous rotary option, so ask Campro if contouring around the B axis is required.
03
The magazine holds 40 tools on a 7/24 taper No.50 spindle. Maximum tool weight is 20 kg (44 lb), maximum length 500 mm (19.6 in) and maximum diameter Ø120 mm (Ø4.7 in), or Ø240 mm (Ø9.4 in) with adjacent pockets empty. Tool change takes 3.5 sec tool to tool and 7 sec chip to chip.
04
The spindle speed is 10,000 rpm on a 7/24 taper No.50. Campro's table prints the spindle motor row under a weight unit, which cannot be read as a power rating, so this page gives no motor figure. The maker should be asked for the rated power and torque before the machine is matched to a heavy roughing job.
05
The floor plan is 7,135 × 5,068 mm (280 in x 199 in) and the maximum machine height is 3,550 mm (139 in). Machine weight is 24,000 kg (52,910 lb) and power capacity is 60 kVA. The cutting feedrate is 10,000 mm/min (393.7 in/min) and rapids are 36 m/min on each linear axis.
