How much does the You Ji YV600 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the You Ji YV600 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The You Ji YV600 moves the YV vertical turning lathe onto a 24 in (610 mm) chuck. Maximum turning diameter is Ø750 mm (29.5 in), turning height 600 mm (23.6 in) and swing Ø850 mm (33.5 in).
Load capacity is the headline. At 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) the YV600 carries half as much again as the YV550, and the speed range is re-geared to match: 20-1,500 rpm instead of 50-2,000 rpm. The bottom of 20 rpm is what a large-diameter facing cut in cast steel needs to keep a sensible surface speed at the rim. The motor itself is unchanged at 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp).
This is the tallest machine among the chuck-size YV models. The table gives a height of 4,450 mm (175.2 in) on a floor dimension of 4,000 x 2,330 mm (157.5 x 91.7 in), so roof trusses and crane rails need checking early.
You Ji lists five builds for the size: vertical turret (A), horizontal turret (E), horizontal VDI power turret (E+C), ATC and ATC+C. Compared with the YV700, which keeps the same chuck, load, height capacity and spindle, the YV600 turns a slightly smaller diameter and takes less floor. Shops whose rings and housings stay under Ø750 mm (29.5 in) lose nothing by choosing it.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) maximum loading weight on a 24 in (610 mm) chuck
- Low end of 20 rpm in the 20-1,500 rpm range for large-diameter facing
- 600 mm (23.6 in) turning height, against 500 mm (19.7 in) on the YV550
- Five builds in the maker's key: A, E, E+C, ATC and ATC+C
Limitations
- Machine height of 4,450 mm (175.2 in) is the greatest of the chuck-size YV models
- Top speed falls to 1,500 rpm, so small bores run below ideal surface speed
- Motor stays at 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp) despite the larger chuck and load

Frequently Asked Questions
01
A 24 in (610 mm) chuck, Ø750 mm (29.5 in) maximum turning diameter, 600 mm (23.6 in) maximum turning height, Ø850 mm (33.5 in) swing and 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) maximum loading weight. The spindle motor is 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp) with a 20-1,500 rpm range.
02
Check before ordering. The catalogue gives a machine height of 4,450 mm (175.2 in), more than a metre above the YV550 at 3,395 mm (133.7 in). Add the lift needed to lower a part into the 24 in (610 mm) chuck from an overhead crane.
03
They share the 24 in (610 mm) chuck, 600 mm (23.6 in) turning height, 1,800 kg (3,968 lb) load, motor and 20-1,500 rpm range. The YV700 turns Ø800 mm (31.5 in) and swings Ø900 mm (35.4 in); the YV600 turns Ø750 mm (29.5 in) and swings Ø850 mm (33.5 in).

Yes. You Ji's key lists ATC (automatic tool changer) and ATC+C (with C-axis function) from the 500 to the 1600, which includes this model. Turret builds A, E and E+C are also listed. The table gives no magazine capacity, so that has to be confirmed with the maker.
