Overview
The You Ji YV200 is the smallest machine in the YV range of CNC vertical turning lathes: an 8 in (203 mm) chuck, a maximum turning diameter of Ø250 mm (9.8 in) and 200 mm (7.9 in) of turning height. It is a chucker for small discs, hubs, flanges and bearing-size rings that sit flat on a vertical spindle and load by gravity.
Speed is what separates it from the rest of the family. The spindle range is 50-3,500 rpm, the highest in the YV table, on an 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp) motor. The YV250 shares that motor but stops at 2,500 rpm, so the YV200 is the one to pick when the parts are small enough that surface speed, not torque, limits the cut.
Tooling follows the size. In You Ji's model key the 200 can be built as type B with gang tools, as type E with a horizontal turret, or as E+C with a horizontal VDI power turret. The vertical turret (type A) starts at the 250, and the automatic tool changer versions start at the 500. A buyer who needs driven tools on this frame is therefore looking at the E+C build.
The table load is 200 kg (441 lb), which has to cover the chuck jaws, any fixture and the part. Swing is Ø400 mm (15.7 in), so there is room for jaws and clamps around a full-diameter workpiece. The machine stands on 2,880 x 1,530 mm (113.4 x 60.2 in) of floor and is 2,460 mm (96.9 in) tall, small enough to line up in a row for a cell.
