How much does the Dener TTH-8 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Dener TTH-8 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Dener TTH-8 is the first model on the larger TTH frame. It has the longest machining length in Dener's lathe range, 680 mm (26.8 in), and a maximum turning diameter of 528 mm (20.8 in) under a 650 mm (25.6 in) swing.
The chuck is an 8 inch (203 mm) unit, small for a machine of this envelope. The pairing makes sense for shaft work. A modest chuck leaves the most room in Z, and the spindle still runs at 4,500 rpm. Bore and bar capacity are 66 mm (2.6 in) and 52 mm (2 in).
It is also the most powerful spindle on the page by the printed figures: 15/24.2 kW. The TTC-8, with the same chuck, lists 11/20.4 kW. Feeds differ from the TTC models as well. The cutting feed rate is printed as 1~10 m/min, with rapid traverse at 30/30 m/min in X/Z.
For long parts the tailstock matters. A programmable tailstock is on Dener's option list, and so is a linear encoder. The standard build includes roller linear guideways, C1–C3 precision ball screws and a BMT / slot-type turret on a one-piece cast frame with a 45° slant.
Typical work is shafts, spindles, rollers and long sleeves in steel, with the large turning diameter in reserve for the occasional big flange.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Machining length of 680 mm (26.8 in), the longest in the range
- Maximum turning diameter of 528 mm (20.8 in)
- Spindle motor power printed as 15/24.2 kW, the highest on the page
- Cutting feed rate listed as 1~10 m/min
- 4,500 rpm with an 8 inch (203 mm) chuck
Limitations
- Bar capacity stays at 52 mm (2 in) despite the larger frame
- 8 inch chuck is small for parts near the 528 mm (20.8 in) turning diameter
- Programmable tailstock and linear encoder are optional equipment
- C axis is optional equipment

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Swing diameter is 650 mm (25.6 in), maximum turning diameter 528 mm (20.8 in) and machining length 680 mm (26.8 in). The chuck is 8 inch (203 mm) and the bar capacity 52 mm (2 in).
02
The chuck, bore, bar capacity and 4,500 rpm speed are shared. The TTC-8 has a 560 mm (22 in) swing, a 305 mm (12 in) turning diameter and a 406 mm (16 in) machining length; the TTH-8 is larger in all three and lists more spindle motor power.
03
Dener prints the spindle motor power as 15/24.2 kW. The table gives the two values without saying which rating each one is, so the duty ratings should be confirmed with the supplier.
04
The option list on the page names a programmable tailstock. With 680 mm (26.8 in) of machining length, long parts will normally need tailstock support, so it should be specified in the order.
