Price estimate
We do not have a price for the SW BA W06-12 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The SW BA W06-12 combines one spindle with two work tables on SW's 600 mm linear-drive platform. Travel is 1,150 mm (45.3 in) in X, 630 mm (24.8 in) in Y and 510 mm (20.1 in) in Z, and the 4th-axis interference circle is Ø 675 x 1,430 mm.
The pairing is easy to misread. A two-table machine with one spindle makes one part per cycle, but the spindle never waits for the part change. While it works on the table in the machining area, the other table is outside for unloading and loading. SW's portfolio text describes the mechanism as a double swivel carrier.
So the BA W06-12 is the model for long parts in steady production. Something like a battery tray section or a stator housing row that needs the full 1,150 mm of X cannot be doubled up on a twin-spindle machine. It can still be produced without idle spindle time.
Spindle options match the rest of the large BA W06 models: HSK-A63 at up to 17,500 rpm with 35 kW and 80 Nm, or HSK-A80 or HSK-A100 at up to 12,500 rpm with 42 kW and 200 Nm at 10% ED. SW also lists independent Z and X axes for the series, a feature that concerns the multi-spindle models and has no bearing on a single spindle.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two work tables keep the single spindle cutting during part changes
- 1,150 mm (45.3 in) of X with a Ø 675 x 1,430 mm interference circle
- Three spindle interfaces, from 17,500 rpm on HSK-A63 to 200 Nm at 10% ED on HSK-A80 or HSK-A100
- Linear drive technology in the feed axes
Limitations
- One part per cycle despite the two tables
- Interference circle is Ø 675 mm across, which keeps fixtures slim
- The higher power and torque figures are 10% ED ratings
- Tool magazine capacity is not stated in SW's table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
To change parts during machining time. One table is in the work area and the other is at the loading position. SW's feature list for the BA W06 names loading and unloading in parallel to machining time, and the last digit of BA W06-12 is the number of work tables.
02
1,150 mm (45.3 in) in X, 630 mm (24.8 in) in Y and 510 mm (20.1 in) in Z. Fixtures turn inside a 4th-axis interference circle of Ø 675 x 1,430 mm.
03
35 kW and 80 Nm with the HSK-A63 spindle, which has a 1-17,500 rpm range. With HSK-A80 or HSK-A100 the range is 1-12,500 rpm and SW lists 42 kW and 200 Nm at 10% ED.
04
The BA W06-22 has two spindles 600 mm (23.6 in) apart with 600 mm of X each and makes two parts per cycle. The BA W06-12 gives one spindle 1,150 mm (45.3 in) of X. Y, Z and the Ø 675 x 1,430 mm interference circle are the same.
