Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Nicolas Correa NORMA MGT that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Nicolas Correa NORMA MGT swaps the rotary table of the NORMA MG for a turning table. Diameter is 1,600 / 2,000 mm, table speed is 250 rpm and the load row reads 6 / 5 Tm. On the NORMA MG the table is square, from 1,250 x 1,250 mm to 2,000 x 2,000 mm, and positions the part; on the MGT it spins the part for turning.
Note the order of the load figures. Diameter is printed as 1,600 / 2,000 mm and load as 6 / 5 Tm, which reads as the larger table carrying less. That is plausible for a table that has to reach 250 rpm at a bigger diameter, but it is worth a direct question. In both cases the rating is below the top of the 5 - 10 Tm range given for the NORMA MG.
Only two machine sizes exist, with X travel of 2,500 mm and 3,500 mm. The NORMA MG adds a 4,500 mm version. Cross travel is 1,250 / 1,500 mm and vertical travel 1,500 / 2,000 mm, each fed at 30 m/min. A 2,000 mm table under 1,500 mm of Y means the spindle works from the rim toward the centre while the table brings the rest of the part round.
The spindle is the one found on the NORMA PIT: HSK-100 T taper, 6,000 rpm, 24 - 33 kW and 840 - 990 Nm. The table makes the difference between the two. The NORMA PIT stops at 1,250 mm of turning diameter, so the MGT is the bed type choice once a part outgrows that.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Turning table of 1,600 / 2,000 mm diameter at 250 rpm
- Turning table load of 6 / 5 Tm, printed beside the two diameters
- Larger turning diameter than the 1,000 / 1,250 mm of the NORMA PIT, with the same spindle figures
- Feed of 30 m/min on all three axes
- Vertical travel of 1,500 / 2,000 mm above the table
Limitations
- Two X travels only, 2,500 / 3,500 mm; the 4,500 mm size of the NORMA MG is not offered
- Load is 6 / 5 Tm, under the upper end of the 5 - 10 Tm listed for the NORMA MG
- Single 6,000 rpm speed and a single HSK-100 T taper
- The page shows no equipment lists for this variant

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table. The NORMA MG has a rotary table from 1,250 x 1,250 mm to 2,000 x 2,000 mm rated 5 - 10 Tm. The NORMA MGT has a turning table of 1,600 / 2,000 mm diameter that runs at 250 rpm and carries 6 / 5 Tm. The 4,500 mm X travel of the NORMA MG is not offered on the MGT, and it lists one spindle speed, 6,000 rpm, on HSK-100 T.
02
The row gives 6 / 5 Tm beside diameters of 1,600 / 2,000 mm. Read in the same order, the 1,600 mm table takes 6 Tm and the 2,000 mm table 5 Tm. The page does not state the pairing in words, so confirm it, and include chuck or fixture weight when you add up the load.
03
X travel is 2,500 mm on the smaller of the two sizes and 3,500 mm on the larger. Y travel is 1,250 / 1,500 mm and Z travel 1,500 / 2,000 mm. Maximum feed is 30 m/min in X, Y and Z.
04
One programmable speed is listed, 6,000 rpm, with maximum power of 24 - 33 kW and maximum torque of 840 - 990 Nm on an HSK-100 T taper. Those are the same four rows as on the NORMA PIT. The NORMA MG, by contrast, lists 4,000 / 6,000 / 10,000 rpm.
