Mazak QT-Ez 10MY

The Mazak QT-Ez 10MY adds Y-axis capability to the milling-equipped 10-inch QT-Ez platform, enabling true off-center machining operations that would otherwise require a secondary setup on a vertical machining center. The MY configuration is the most popular in the QT-Ez 10 family for shops needing versatile mill-turn capability at a value price.

The QT-Ez 10MY runs a 254 mm (10 in) chuck with a maximum turning diameter of 343 mm (13.5 in) and a maximum turning length of 513 mm (20.2 in). The built-in motor spindle delivers 18.5 kW (25 hp) at up to 4,500 RPM. Bar capacity of 65 mm (2.56 in) covers standard production bar stock. The Y-axis provides approximately 100 mm of travel for off-center drilling, milling, and contouring operations.

The 12-position turret accepts bolt-on or BMT 55 tooling with live tools running at 6,000 RPM. C-axis resolution of 0.0001 degrees combined with the Y-axis enables complex milled features including flats, hexes, keyways, and off-center holes in a single setup. The BMT 55 interface delivers the rigidity needed for meaningful milling operations rather than just light drilling.

MAZATROL SmoothEz handles the 4-axis (X, Y, Z, C) programming with conversational and G-code support on a 15-inch touchscreen. The conversational interface simplifies Y-axis programming for operators who may not have extensive CAM experience.
